The best the Uchiha had done was draw even before Hashirama Uchiha and Senju were like the Allies and Central Powers of WW I Trench warfare advances were measured in inches not feet. Uchiha attack Senju counter attack and you end up with a lot of dead on both sides for a few inches of dirt.

Yes he fought for 24 hours and was completely worn out with the chakra boost he got from ems and hashi was barely tired and had plenty in the tank

That's one way of looking at it. One could also say that the Uchiha have too much oride and despite a weak body they really can hold their own although it usually comes down to who has the better skill and resolve. Hashirama always beatMadara because his arsenal sas more versatile. When the battle cane down to will hashi beat hin there. Sadly even when madara didn't habe Kurama Hashi notably beat him and wasn't breathing hard although this is only seen in the anime. Uchiha's just need a stronger resolve and skill, and a calmer disposition. If madara didn't rely on overwhelming hashirama with pure strength all the time he could've won or at least tie him. But alas even Madara admitted only hashi can stop him (when alive without the rinnegan on madara's part)

Yeah that's the sad truth but can't deny manga facts. I think if Madara didn't try to overwhelm hashirama with pure power all the time he could win or at least tie. Byt that's my thoughts, Madara has the powerful chakra and hashi has the vast chakra so they both cancel out but in e end hashi was more skilled and had stronger resolve. He also used more strategy when against Madara
