Reanimation question

If indra and ashura are now sasuke and naruto, which means that their souls where reborn into sasuke and naruto. However befor that they were mad and hash, and when they died they became sasuke and naruto. Now my question is how cand mad and hash be reanimated when their souls belong to other bodies, because my understanding of the reanimation is that it summons the dead peoples soules into a new body.

Think about it like the Avatar Spirit (Raava) in the Last Airbender. The person themselves (Naruto, Sasuke, Hashirama, Madara, etc.) are not the originals (Indra and Ashura), they're their own people, with their own souls. However, they house two spirits, their own, and the soul of either Indra or Ashura (whichever person they pick to inhabit).
