First of all naruto is unaware of whats happening he didn't see the moon, none of them did, If they saw the moon they would have been caught.

I believe the explosion from the meteorite blocked there view that's just my Opinion. sasuke didn't explain anything to naruto on what was happening so please go somewhere.

They switched roles for a chapter, Naruto's quick response and recklessness to help others out became a weakness in this chapter, while only Sasuke could take up the role of protecting everyone with his "Chakra Cloak" this time.

It's actually really cool character development for Naruto and Sasuke when you think about it.

Sasuke was seen doing something equally stupid earlier: trying to solo 4 respectably powerful Kage and their bodyguards just to get 1 person., and all because of his infatuation with avenging a dude who made a conscious decision to be used. Sasuke's emotions got him in more hot water than Naruto's did. At least when Naruto got emotional, it was more often because he wanted to save someone else and not just for the sake of throwing a tantrum.
