Introduction
Kishimoto is using that technique again, and it is working on some of you. He has done the same thing with the masquerading of Madara as well. Red herrings are meant for that though. It is their very definition; to intentionally mislead or distract you from who he (Tobi) could possibly be. You should be showed how he did this early and Tobi’s guise as Madara is a near perfect example of this as well as Zetsu’s abilities.

Masquerading as Madara I
Upon being revealed to be Madara, you perceptibly as well unintentionally believed him. It was intentionally that as the reader you had to believe this, you could opt not to, and suggest he was not who he claimed to be; but who would believe you? Reminiscence of those who claim that there was a Ten-Tails is a great paragon that comes to mind. As those people had a faraway voice that was openly silence by the bashing they received in those particular threads, it is no wonder why some of you would carry on following the idea that Tobi was indeed Madara.
Masquerading as Madara II
Repeatedly, Kishimoto had you follow this idea of Tobi being Madara, while it obviously brought about a twist in terms of plot; it ultimately failed to bring a degree of linear explanations of how “Madara’s” days were only giving anemic sayings of it. Many did not lead this aspect bother them, but instead dully followed the above notion that “Madara was alive by Tobi” once more. In conforming to this notion you again failed to see Kishimoto’s distractions of the actual issue. The clearer explanation of the above, which was how was Madara’s life was, and the abilities of Zetsu.
Switch-Up
Stopping there, and switching subjects from Tobi’s failed masquerade as Madara to Zetsu’s abilities seems like a fragmentary explanation to me, but for the sake of the thread we will live it as such. Moving on to Zetsu’s abilities, and how it ties in with Obto.
Zetsu & Obito
Zetsu and Tobi have been alive for some time, so it should not surprise anyone if Tobi had Zetsu record the live of someone or war moments. Who would Tobi would to record for such a long duration of time. The Uchiha in particularly, especially if he knew of their impending doom. Tobi would be able use Zetsu for the scouting of possible Uchiha that possessed rare techniques, and follow that person to learn of his or her weaknesses and attack “said” weakness in order to awaken the greater power of that person eyes. That person in particular is Obito; with the above being possibly true, Tobi would have found a way to awaken Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan. A great emotional distress is what causes the awakening of the Mangekyo, and Rin’s disappearance has not been brought up by Kishimoto at all; so it is possible that Tobi killed Rin and that is what awakened Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan. Another important note, the fact Tobi’s body oozes out Zetsu-like substance when damaged could hint the fact that Tobi is using Obito’s body through the holding up of Zetsu material. Furthering the fact that “Tobi is using Obito’s body” and actually not Obito.
Conclusion
Ultimately those arguing that all evidence showing that Tobi= Obito is not indefinitely true. If anything this people failed to see the many red herring’s that Kishimoto used with Tobi’s proclaiming he is Madara. Kishimoto is doing the same thing he did with Madara, but with Obito; and you are failing to see it.
