1.) Transporting to kunai that are not within eye sight is dangerous. Possibility of transporting into objects. When Minato gives kakashi a kunai, kakashi puts the knife in his bag. Minato should have transported inside the page then ripped out of it. If somebody enclosed one of his kunai into a boulder Minato would transport in the boulder and be crushed.

2.) If seal is damaged there could be complications. Would only part of Minato be transported, leaving him wounded or dead?

3.) Easy to set up traps. When Minato goes to a battle field and throws kunai everywhere somebody simply needs to set a sealing trap. You know exactly where he will show up you just dont know when.

Transportation is a powerful technique and has some really obvious problems. Kishi doesn't really acknowledge them but I wanted too.

Can you see any obvious problems with the technique.

XDXDXDXDXD In a weird sort of twisted way, u do have a point. However for the first one, i'm not quite sure but it seems like the seals have a range like when tobirama transported Sasuke to Naruto. I don't know what to say for the second, but i'd guess that he won't be able to teleport at all. Yeah, the third one can be a threat

I'm sure if Minato fought Itachi, Kakashi, Sasuke or Shikamaru, they would probably think the same thing.

Minato does not teleport exactly where the seal is. He teleports near it.

The seal is engraved and embedded with his chakra, so it cannot be damaged.

he ports to the area of the seal
idk if the seal can get damaged in not written onto anything its like...a chakra signature
if some kinda sealing trap goes off he could port away before it finishes sealing him

imo FTG is the strongest jutsu in naruto and kishi nerfed the **** out of it and minato because other wise minato would be able to beeat every1 else..besides thejubi jins and sage family of course

What if he is fighting an Uzumaki who might alter the seal with one of their own. Maybe cause him to appear elsewhere? That could prove deadly. But I see what you are saying though.

"Area" of the seal is way to general for an exact science like teleportation.

Ive always had the impression that somehow Minato knew exactly where he would materialize in relative position to his opponent and the kunai. It may seem instantaneous but I think there is time to adjust in between dimensions.
