So basically in every vs thread or when were talking about a ninjas strengths one of the first things to come up is accomplishments. But if you think about it, in most fights a character wins because it helps the story not because they were stronger than their opponent. So my question is looking back on all the fights so far, who would win if the battle had no significant plot purpose ? Examples....
1.Jiraiya vs Nagato: ill probably get a lot of stuff for this but lets be honest, the nagato that went to konoha and blew it half to hell isnt the same one that fought jman. For starters he was only using summons at first and thats what gave jman the chance to go into sage mode. Sage mode, or that sound genjustu wasnt expected. If they were to go at it again he wouldnt stand a chance.
2.Nearly every fight sasukes been in. im not a hater but lets be honest, this isnt the marvel universe. the whole sasanoo getting stronger the more he hates is like the hulk getting stronger when he mad. basically all it is, is a way to get out him of a bad spot. not to mention the times hes had to be bailed out by teammates.and to those who still think this, he didnt BEAT itachi, itachi was dying anyway, and he planned to let sasuke win.
3.1st hokage vs Madara: just my thoughts but how does the only guy that was supposed to be able to go toe to toe with the 1st lose with the 9tails on his side ??? but seeing as how madara wont shut up about how great he was i can be open-minded
4: Itachi vs Nagato: i love itachi but lets be real that "fight" was the worst thing ever. i would say nagato wins mid difficulty. everybody wants to use those 2 legendary weapons as an excuse to why itachi can beat anybody now.
