Real talk.. When are we going to see Might Guy use the 8th gate?

I would say Rock Lee, but the hardest working Shinobi showed no improvement over 2 years apparently(plus, Kishi said he wouldn't kill off any of the K11,[unless Lee opens it and doesn't die*Wishes])

But seriously: the 8th gate surpasses even the Kage's and we have only seen the 7th gate once.

Surpassing the kages is a bit of a useless term as the Kages are not of equal strength.. or even in the same league.

I was wondering about that too for a long time. But then the animations got pathetic so I dont even care anymore. If they would show the 9th gate, it'd be just another boring episode

I think it might not kill Gai.

Maybe the point of it is to not have to use it and in doing so you would have had to risk it all to protect your friends, and such a sacrifice grant's you life.
Hope it is showed, but how is he supposed to have a technique for it? If it's supposed to kill you it's not like you can train to use techniques...
My guess is if it does kill you you become pure chakra essentially, your body dissolving in to chakra allowing you to detonate yourself to destroy almost any target, or something along those lines.

At least when Gai uses them I think the gates put people way past Kage level even before the 8th.

I believe it will be used when K11 get to where Guy is. Lee has shown improvement he just have not gotten any screen time. Kishi should give him a hidden gate or if slug is not the next sage mode make Lee become the turtle sage.
