"Real" Music

I've ob served people arguing what is "real" on this matter or not; for ex. some say things like "classical rock is the real music", "autotune kills it" or "new generation is turd" etc.

Do you define "real" music in borders (if so, what is real music for you?), just think it is a matter of taste or say "each for his/her own but *insert genres* is what real is to me". Do you think technological involvements such as autotune downgrades the sense of music, or it is just another method for producing music?

Real music, to me, is music that matters. If your music is all about riches, women and drugs, it's not real. Music is supposed to touch you, so to me, real music is music with emotion in it, with feeling, with struggle, with a story. If it ain't reflecting life, it ain't real.

Real music is music that you can relate to. This thread was probably meant for backpackers so I'll just leave this comment: Real music doesn't always have to be some deep shit that'll get you all soft and emotional.

Btw I listen to rap and Michael Jackson. That's pretty much it besides the music from Sonic stuff.

Lot of people don't know even current Weezy actually has some dope punchlines. People just overlook shit like that if it's coming out of Wayne's mouth. Lol Bet you if I put something a crap rapper says that's actually good in a publicly loved rapper's voice niggas would jump on it in a heartbeat.

Wonder if people remember Pac and Biggie rapped street shit too.
