Comon dude. The thread has absolutely nothing to do with Madara. Please stay on topic or make a Madara thread
Right you are. I'll get back on topic.
Denying the existence of an epilogue to the manga, not even accounting for what comes after that, is...how to word this...dumb. Yes, 699 tied a lot of loose ends, but not all. Not by a long shot. Though you're right, this story is far bigger than just Naruto becoming Hokage, but we did need to see him as such. Because if the anime filler ever got anything right is that Naruto by the end of the war was not ready to take up that position. Seeing him older and wiser as well as acting like a parent bring things to a good close, it makes the story as a whole a cycle, things ending like they begun. It is poetic
Boruto as a series wasn't needed, and maybe you could make that argument for its movie too, but its still a part of the story. It doesn't tarnish Naruto by itself by just being a sequel, after all. Star Wars' original trilogy is amazing, even if the prequels exist. If you don't like it...fine. Don't watch it nor read it. Criticize it, sure. It might not be living up to the standards the original series set for you, its perfectly understandable.
But pretending it doesn't exist is just immature.
