Seems legit. Orochimaru stand NO chance of getting a hold of Naruto and Sasuke... so going for the next best thing (their children) seems like an easier option. However... that could pull Naruto or/and Sasuke into going after Orochimaru, so it seems ill advised. XD
As for the... ahem... shipping? I'm absolutely sick of the last generation of ships. It's all Naruto was about in the end.
