so after reading an explanation of rep i was just hoping to clarify something

for every 100 points you get - you get 1 green 'bar' - atm i have 178 points and im 2 bars so im almost 3 correct?

but also, for every 1000 posts you get another green rep 'bar'? right?

Yup that sums most of it up, but at some point you'll start needing 200 points to get one rep bar.

and I might've missed something but I don't think that post count increases rep does it ?

If you look at rep bars carefully,you can see that some of them on the left are light green and some of them on the right are dark green.light green are for +reps and dark green are for posts

No, for everything 1,000 posts, you get another point. So when you give rep it gives out that number i.e I give out 46 points or something.

No, that is not correct, I didn't even quite get what you meant.

After the bars get dark green it means you have to get double amount of points (200) to reach each of the upcoming bars.

And for the 1000 posts thing, as no one hasn't managed to explain this fully to you I will:

Whenever you reach new amount of 1000 posts it gives you one point for your REP POWER. And rep power is something that defines how much rep are you able to give to other people. So no your rep bars wont increase from posts.
