Reactions to Muslim Protests

I use to be a Muslim, but became atheist, seeing at all the damage religion caused this world. These Muslim Protests are just another reason. People are ignorant and automatically assume that anything that happens in America is somehow related to the government. Just because an American created a film portraying Mohammed in a somewhat offensive way, doesn't mean that they should go burning American flags and creating riots since the American government has nothing to do it. All these people are doing are just destroying property, killing lives, and making an ass out of themselves and their religion. They should be well aware that there are people who can't draw the line and just ignore it and go on with their lives. This also doesn't help with all the damn stereotypes about Muslims here in America. Some nobody making fun of your prophet shouldn't be a reason to go sacrificing lives and damaging foreign relations. Just because there offending your religion doesn't justify taking lives.

So you no longer keep your beliefs, or did you only become an atheist because of how you felt about other members of your religion? Because if you still follow its customs and principles, then don't let the others bring you down.

Became atheist for 2 reasons
1. Didnt believe in the hocus pocus stuff
2. Refuse to believe in a god who let people suffer in such inhumane ways

And this; ladies and gentleman is what you call a 'generalisation'. If you are going to judge a whole religion/country/culture/insertothersortofgrouphere based on the actions of a few than you are no better than them. It's nothing more than common knowledge that there ARE extremists in society- people who clearly misinterpret their own 'religious rules'. There is absolutely no reason that any lives should be lost.

Next time i see a thread like this i will infract. This is not a place to spark uneccessary arguments about clearly sensitive topics. Unless you have a genuine discussion question about a religion/country/culture/insertothersortofgrouphere and you are genuinely curious about a reasonable topic i suggest you keep your potentially problem causing thoughts to yourself.
