I doubt Shino can hide from the Byakugan at such a young age (it's debatable if he currently can). Once Neji gets up close, Shino can't do much. I don't know if bugs surrounding his body would even work on him, considering he can eject chakra from every point in the body (even if the bugs eat chakra).

Neji is also pretty fast and as a member of the hyuga clan he has the best eye sight in NB.

Okay, Neji part one. His eyes are pretty good, Endurance pretty good. Chakra control good.

But shino knows all of this. Shino is no fodder. I think shino would make a huge cloud of bugs for neji to deal with and that is debatable if he can seeing as he uses chakra do it. But in this time i think Shino would use a pheromone (which neji can't see) and form a sneak attack of bugs.. And if neji were to come after shino he would have to kite(run while engaging). it can go either way.

so what if he's member of hyuga clan? best insight doesn't mean he has counters for everything, just because he can see everything. he obviously couldn't see underground at this point, and shino's bugs may travel underground. his 360 rotation is flawed because unlike regular ninjutsu, shino's bugs are alive, meaning shino can order them to halt before even touching neji's rotation. neji can't spin forever. and he can't palm all of them. what will neji do if shino laces some of the ground with bugs, and sends an air platoon as well? without ninjutsu, this is a bad match up for neji

They are not ambient beings.. He controls them, he can simply stop them, disperse them, burro them. He can surround neji right out of his rotation. His only hope would be to catch up to shino and if shino used his bugs right i do not think neji could.

I was agreeing with you. But i mean he still could use explosive tags and things like that, i mean he has a chance but not much.

ah i see! xd i wasn't sure lol it'd be a great match, cuz shino's not a normal "taijutsu/elemental ninjutsu" user. that's why i say he can solo any of the konoha 11 excluding naruto O_O

hmmm and it doesn't say on naru-wiki that neji uses any kinda tools even though i know it's not a very great source lol i just don't see how neji has a chance here. it's difficult explaining it to non-believers ._.

I know in the anime a swarm of hornets attacked Kabuto and he cut them all down with his chakra scalpel in the sai and sasuke arc (not too sure in manga too lazy to look)

Also Kidomaru threw a bunch of those spider kunai and babies and Neji took all of them down.

So one with a Byuakugan along with the super fast 8 trigrams style I;m sure he could kill every single 1 of shino's bugs, then go after shino.

Neji wins mid difficulty.

uhm no...shino's bugs are wayyyyy smaller than kunai, hornets, or spiders. obviously
