[Theory] RDS fails against Kaguya

She didn't die even after Juubi extraction. And after being crushed under a whopping 80 quintillion tons twice.


I suspect that the price of eating the Fruit was that she lost her soul.


That is how she is immortal. Without a soul, she cannot pass to the afterlife.

RDS fails because it can't remove her soul because she doesn't have one.


Also, CT must be used because it is a physical seal, not a spiritual one. CT simply uses gravity to restrain a physical entity.


RDS and anything else that uses spiritual means would fail against an immortal without a soul.

Second RDS is limited by the chakra of the user. You can only seal a certain amount based on your own reserves. That's why Hiruzen could only seal Oro's arms and Minato had to split the Kyuubi in half. No one has enough chakra to seal all of Kaguya's.

Not quite. Minato said it was physically impossible to seal the whole kyuubi in RDS. So, by minato's logic, it should be impossible to seal the accumulation of all the tailed beast (kaguya) into RDS.

I don't think so. She is the juubi. No if or but. Whether she was a separate entity before eating the fruit or if its some weird metaphor is immaterial. She is the juubi now. RDS works by sealing chakra not by sealing souls. Souls are an expression OF chakra ergo RDS would work on her just as well as any other seal if the user had the necessary will and strength to pull it off. Not that RDS is unbreakable. Orochimaru shows that.

You do need chakra obviously to seal whatever you're trying to seal. In the 3rd's case, he was running out of chakra so couldn't maintain the RDS jutsu. This wasn't the case with minato. He had enough chakra to maintain the RDS jutsu, it's just the RDS jutsu in of itself was not sufficient to seal the entirety of the kyuubi. Put in another way, the kyuubi was too powerful to be sealed within the RDS. Nothing to do with minato's chakra reserves. Everything to do with the enormity of the bijuu

Even if that is the case, RDS wouldn't work.

Minato was only able to seal half Kurama.

If Kaguya gets hit with RDS, she would only lose a very small fraction of her power.
