Purgatory
Arella, Raven's mother, was an Enochian chosen to become the bride of the former horseman of pestilence, Trigon. Trigon was a medical ninja who conducted several experiments on human subjects ,including himself. Due to the multiple experiments on himself, along with the mass intake of juubi chakra and natural energy he became a monster. Being half Enochian, the mad scientist grew more and more sinister with each and every day his power grew. Sooner rather than later, Trigon would be consumed by pure darkness. Trigon then left Purgatory with his followers in order to conquer the world. Abandoned by the Horseman rather than her becoming his wife , Arella was bent on suicide (while carrying Raven) when she was taken in by the pacifistic disciples of Enoch, a group who had centuries earlier forsaken life on Earth to pursue their own studious lifestyle, investing themselves in ninja arts and natural energy.
In Purgatory , Raven, Arella's daughter by Trigon, was born. Fearing that the child would bring evil among them, Juris, a magistrate of Purgatory, attempted to cast the infant Raven into Limbo, only to be destroyed himself. Lucifer , the spiritual leader of the temple, then took the young Raven under his personal tutelage, instructing her in the truth of her parentage, and in pacifism, meditation, and the submergence of her emotions to resist Trigon's influence on her life , while perfecting her powers of Sigils, Divine Val and Maleficent Val.
In later years, Raven would hunt down Trigon in a final onslaught while entering his outpost. But even as she was struck down by her father countless times, Raven realized that all was not hopeless, and this realization sparked a new hope within her soul, allowing her to regain full maturity along with her powers. Under a righteous wrath, she used the sum of her powers to destroy Trigon, finally ridding herself from the last vestiges of her dreaded heritage. After slaying her father, Raven would be considered the new horseman of pestilence.Other | その他
Raven has an assortment of seals and sigils placed on her body. On her left and right thumbs are two lightning blade creation seals, which allow her to summon tools and weapons with the snap of her fingers. The reverse four symbols seal is placed on/around her belly button.

Raven's appearance is seen as dark and mysterious. Her outfit is mostly made up of her favorite color, dark blue/indigo. She usually wears an indigo cloak with a hood, with matching indigo ruffled ankle-boots with blackish-gray soles, with a leotard-like long-sleeved shirt that is blueish-black with cuffs at her wrists of the same blue of her cloak. On her cloak, she has a circular black/red jewel set in a gold plate that attaches the whole thing together. The jewel also sometimes has a raven head shape in the jewel. Around her waist she has a red and gold belt with the same jewels around it, while her legs are exposed. The belt ties at the back like a cord. Her hair and eyes are violet, and as seen later on in life, Raven cuts off the extra hair that she had grown. Raven revealed to despise long hair, which may conclude why she likes to keep it short. She has a red gem that is outlined in black inlaid on her forehead that she was born with. She has very pale, almost gray skin, which makes her appearance somewhat demonic. She is always equipped with an assortment of weapons(3 section staves are folded and attached to her hips) and scrolls, some hidden within her tool pouches, attached to her leotard, and some weapons even are attached to her cape while others are stored within her seals.
Raven, as an Enochian, has used her demonic appearances on several occasions, though often the use of her demon form causes her to lose control. Raven's demonic form has proven effective in getting results, such as bringing down enemies with swift surrender through sheer fear (Killing Intent).

Raven is considered to be an extremely mysterious character. She is quiet, seemingly emotionless, intelligent, studious, and sarcastic. She can always come up with a smart remark, specifically in reply to most of her village's or clan's antics and attempts at humor. Her appearance and attitude appears to be that of a typical modern goth female. However, as much as she may seem slightly distant and anti-social, others would describe her as a "...dark character, but a character everyone can relate to. She's a recluse and sort of to herself." Others have also said that she is "the most hopeful person he has ever known."
Raven is often portrayed as the most mature member of the clan she's in, often giving her own advice to the others about various subjects, and generally staying cool and calm, even in desperate situations. She is, however, also the most emotionally-restrained of her group, appearing secretive and distant; she initially does not allow any of her fellow friends into her room and spends most of her time by herself, usually meditating or reading one of her numerous books. Even though she is serious and cautious about her emotions. The reason for her emotional restraint is due to the adverse effects her emotions have on her powers. If her emotions become out of control, her powers can become erratic and spontaneous, becoming active without her will. In the course of her growth, however, she gradually, if only slightly, seems to warm up to her teammates. It is difficult for Raven to build trust for anyone, and even more difficult to truly forgive if that trust was to be broken.
In several instances, contrary to her usual behavior, she does show more emotion such as making "heart eyes" along with her friends at the appearance of boys she finds attractive in (though this is mostly used for comedic effect). She also does ease up to have some fun on a few occasions, such as forcing her teammate to go through 'initiation' again with the others. Furthermore, Raven is known to sometimes be shocked at trivial things. One occasion in which this occurs is when she is defeated in a game of chess. Though not the most physically talented of the clan , Raven is nonetheless a fairly skilled and proficient hand-to-hand combatant, having received at least some degree of physical training. Often times, she enhances her hand to hand combat with her sound ninjutsu and val to enhance her strength exponentially.
Ever since she was a mere child, Raven had begun training in her clans bloodline trait, Val. Her val is black with a tint of indigo which can only be seen in certain circumstances such as when the light reflects off of it a certain way, similar to the complexion of a ravens feathers.
Raven is a skilled polyglot, capable of fluently speaking English, German, Latin, Spanish, and Japanese.

The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks". The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced and one can unleash a barrage of weapons with great speed in a small time window. Also when a weapon such as a Fūma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in fully extended form beforehand. Sasuke even shown that you can have the weapons connected to wires and linked to their sealing marks and used the technique in sealing marks he placed in his wrist bracers.
