I wanna suggest that the thread maker should not be allowed to rate his own thread. It makes a fake popularity of that thread in case of "rubbish content" in that thread or "not required" kind of thread. These kind of threads are also seemed to be rated with five stars.

After all, rating of the thread is also part of the forums which is not included on the NB Frequently asked Questions thread:

After some time, my thread got one star. No problem.... because its given by one of the member or more. But what if I just use my right and give it a 5 star and get a huge number of comments about " This thread wasn't required " blah blah blah....?

But what if trolls downrate all your threads? Someone gave a one-star rating to about three of my threads before. :|

Talking about trolls.....someday they'll be banned for trolling.
Down rating the thread by trolls can't possibly be handled. Also if your thread is deserving then eventually the ratings will rise by others who respect your thread. The numbers of trolls compared to normal guys like us maybe very much less. Also every member can rate only once for a particular thread. But still the rating is done by other members.

Also your response to this thread of mine shows that there are people whose threads suffer because of ratings.
