As the title says, just rate the latest anime series you have finished. I think it's quite interesting to see what other thought about the series and with little comments about it, we might help someone to decide whether he should try watching it or not. Please use spoiler tags if you are talking about specific moments in the anime.
Let just use this rating/scoring system, which is the best in my opinion:
Reminder: This is not episode rating thread, but a thread to rate and post a short review about how good the series in your point of view
Two different examples of mine.(General and short reviews)
Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 6/10
Note: This is a remake of the classic Battle Ship Yamato by Leiji Matsumoto which is one of the most revolutionary anime.
This anime don't live up to its hype as the perpetrator of space anime. at least no to me, because when i see something about Space and Battleship i immediately think this anime will be like starwars anime version or something like that,
the plot is to reach the planet of Iskandar which hold the power to restore the earth and help them defeat the space nazi
instead this anime focused into this cheesy unreasonable drama that will make you make you want to flip tables in the end,
well its not like they completely disregard their main goal to save humanity from the space nazi attack. but then again there is no need to add such unnecessary character as their main heroine which is at 1st foreshadowed as a very important character who hold the key to restore the earth to its former glory into some stupid random girl who just got involved in the story out of nowhere,
Overall i enjoyed the 1st 10 episode and its quite promising but things started to go down hill when the MC keep getting depressed about that one girl instead of fulfilling his duty.
Moral lesson : there is always that one girl who ruined the show for you
Kyokai No Kanata 4/10
through this fall season anime i heard a lot of good things about this anime and when i learn about KyoAni (Kyoto Animation) is the one who produced this anime it makes me looking forward to see how good it is, and in the end it was such a huge letdown.......
Beyond The Boundary yeah Beyond The Boundary my ass....
The story… It’s not like it’s badly paced, but it doesn't seem to go into much detail regarding certain points and I was getting really frustrated. What are youmu? They have “types”, what do you mean they have types? Why would they have types? What do you mean, malice? Clearly not every youmu is like that, so why would you come to that conclusion? Organization? Jewels? What relates to what? Why do they want to do this? How can they do that? Powers? Beyond the Boundary? Hollow Shadow? Human youmu and idol judgment?!
Tell me something already!!!
and the characters oh GOD, I tried, I really tried liking all the female characters, I really did
Mirai Kuriyama Her development throughout the story was so sudden that I didn’t even notice that it was there until I finished the show, even when the show itself was throwing it in my face and shouting it out as exposition.
Mitsuki Nase, Akihito’s friend (?) who is usually the one that starts my most hated joke in this show: Teasing and making fun of Akihito. In the first episodes it seemed like her only function and her only way to speak, it’s like she had to tease everyone, like a mechanism she had put up. It sure would’ve been more interesting if it were but unfortunately we have no such luck.
As Mirai would write in her blog that she often gets flamed for, I would also say that Kyoukai no Kanata/Beyond the Boundary is best concluded with “how unpleasant”. indeed.
