rasengan vs chidori

Kakashi can use both chidori and rasengan. But he tends to use chidori... so does that mean kakashi thinks chidori is stronger? If rasengan is stronger, why didnt kakashi taught this to sasuke in the first place? But for plot sake, they are suppose to be equal if you dont consider its variant.

Rasengan needs less chakra and it's self sustaining. Chidori needs more chakra for whenever it's activated. In terms of power, their equal.

Oh yea, the reason sasuke was taught chidori was rasegan was harder to learn, sasuke coudnt learn it in a month, even with a blond 50 something medical ninja betting a mountain of gold worth of tiny neckalce that he couldnt.
Also, we'd seen chidori befor(Well raikiri, but their the same jutsu), not rasengan.

Theyre = did you not see sasuke and naruto after danzo fight they connected with eachother and both went flying. The water tower scene only means they do a different type of damage if you want to use the logic it did more damage to it what about kiba wolf fang over fang there wouldnt have been any water tower left does this mean its greater then chidori and rasengan no they just do a different type of damage

Chidori has Lightning Chakra so it is fair to give Rasengan some chakra nature
