I've always thought about Boruto who can use invisible rasengan just by giving full thrust is almost similar fashion to the Hyuga gentlefist. Adding raiton to his rasengan and his taijutsu would be super OP thanks to the hyuga speacilty that allows perfect chakra control as well as Uzumaki which gives bigger chakra reseves if Boruto ever evolved his rasengan to giant rasengan or something even better.

Damn that is way too Hax for the NV to handle. By having a Rasengan or an Odama Rasengan resemble Hinata's Lion Fist combined with Raiton is just something else. Boruto would cream the shit out of his opponents.

I was thinking along the lines of him using Air palm as an propulsion system for rasengan, Making Rasengan a range attack and allows the rasengan to hit the person with the force of an Air palm, Which > the force of a thrusting arm.
If he had the byakugan he could target vital organs, Thus making the rasengan a Ranged and incredibly fast one shot from afar.
The exact concept of the "Empty/Vacuum/Air Palm" is not exactly explained in any great detail.
The closest I can come up with is to relate it to the Taoist concepts that are evident within the Hyuuga.
Within Taoism, there is the universal Yin - or the "infinite nothing." This is what universal Yang - or "divine inspiration" acts upon to form the cycling of Yin and Yang that eventually forms the Four Movements - TaiYin, WuYin, WuYang, and TaiYang; which forms the Eight Phases or Eight Trigrams of divination.
Yin is essentially formless. It is both everything and nothing at the same time as it can become anything with the proper application of Yang. Yang is energy and form, but without substance and reality. It is an idea, a 'light' or a 'spark.'
I would, thus, make the hypothesis that the Empty Palm is an application of this concept by using an amount of energy - Yang - to produce a strike from the Yin. The empty palm is taking a strike that 'could be' and making it 'what is.'
You could almost think of it as quantum teleportation of a punch.
I postulate that it acts upon nature chakra - which saturates the world. When the "Empty Palm" becomes an actual delivery of a strike, it is akin to manipulating the local 'chakra network' of nature to form a current of energy that delivers the strike.
It's possible that something in the newer movies that I haven't seen discredit the idea, however... the Hyuuga do not see "chakra" in the sense that we are frequently familiar with. They see fluctuations in nature chakra.

The Hyuuga can see and sense nature energy inherently. The Byakugan is a visual representation of Sage status.
Thus, I postulate that the Empty Palm and Frog/Toad Kumite are very similar in their function, though perhaps Frog/Toad Kumite is reduced in capability by only being able to manipulate nature chakra flowing around the user's body, while a holder of the Byakugan can make much more advanced use of similar techniques.
As such, a 'fully realized' Hyuuga would be able to effectively use sage techniques without having to take in nature chakra, and could potentially manipulate its form into an elemental expression (Eight Trigrams). Kaguya's brief performance is an example of the latent power of the Byakugan, although it is not well explored and there was an unnecessary focus upon moving through dimensions.

It's quite possible that a normal Hyuuga could never obtain such a powerful degree of expression. The Juubi is undoubtedly playing a role in the scale of her abilities - but the idea that a Hyuuga could use abilities that would be nearly indistinguishable from nature, itself on a much smaller scale would not be outside the realm of possibility.
Although I would argue this would take the form of a spontaneous lightning strike (even 'clear day' lightning strikes happen), a gust of wind, or something more along those lines as opposed to the ground swallowing you whole, since that is obviously not very natural - but I think I've made my point, here.
