So Sasuke couldn't ultlize his High Speed Taijutsu nor Chidori blitz him as he did Gaara. It was due to being in a small area that Naruto was able to fill the place up with Shadow Clones & knock Sasuke into the air. They're not specifically bragging about Naruto being "stronger" than a weakened Sasuke, in their mind Sasuke was in full condition going all out.

aside from elemental, senjutsu or bijuu enhanced rasengans, theirs no difference between a base rasengan and its variations like oodama besides the volume poured into it so in the end rasengan has killed. you can debate the pain bodies and whoever but momoshiki was a definite kill so that debunks that.

doesnt matter if you percieve them as being alive or dead they are still more powerful then the average ninja and were defeated by ordinary rasengans plus they have a form of consciousness and can be revived so they are somewhat alive
