Can't really use the recovery argument if you picked the fight. Last I checked it was Sasuke who picked the fight, if he wasn't recovered he should have stayed in that hospital bed.

So Sasuke couldn't ultlize his High Speed Taijutsu nor Chidori blitz him as he did Gaara. It was due to being in a small area that Naruto was able to fill the place up with Shadow Clones & knock Sasuke into the air. And Naruto had foreknowledge of his abilities and skills whilst Sasuke didn't know he could use Rasengan.

Apparently only Rasengan vs Chidori determines whose stronger.

They're not specifically bragging about Naruto being "stronger" than a weakened Sasuke, in their mind Sasuke was in full condition going all out.

What would have been different if he was in good condition? It's a baseless claim. I could just as well say that Naruto held back because Sasuke wasn't in good condition.
