Tbh I could completely be wrong on this (I hope so) because Kishi could pull off one of his troll moments and switch the whole situation to where it is currently heading.

So Obito(Tobi) who was portrayed through all part 2 to be a very strong antagonist and feared enemy is fodderized by Kakashi in a 18 page long chapter. Obito then becomes a plot device for Madara to be revived who (let me add) had nothing to do with the manga until a much later date and was revealed to be the corruption of Obito.

So now it seems Madara is going to become the main antagonist because **** Obito. Everyone knows it is an amazing idea to bring back a character who had no real influence on Naruto one bit to be the main bad guy...

Such an amazing idea to make the end/main protagonist have more relations with a sub protagonist (Hashirama) than the actual main protagonist(Naruto)... Then again I don't even know if Naruto is the main character any more maybe it is Hashirama or Sasuke or Sakua, could I really care at this point?

After Naruto or Hashirama or everyone(???) defeats Madara Kishi should leave a message at the end of the manga saying "brb making chapter 790 where the older brother and younger brother are brought back so they can brawl it out" because why the **** not!

Well, Madara is basically the root to the world's current predicament.

1. Screwing the alliance with Hashirama
2. Planning infinite tsukiyomi
3. Mind ****ing Obito

As for Obito.....a bit of plot considering Kishi decided Obito would completely forget the whole Rinnegan (except for chakra rods). Obito was never on Kakashi's level in regular combat. As we saw during their childhood. On top of this, Obito didn't have his typical fighting style....since he was in Kamui, he didn't have:

1. Ranbu no Bakufu
2. Summoned Shuriken
3. Kamui

So I mean his typical ground game was kinda messed up.

Finally, he basically stabbed Kakashi who's seemingly tired out, and trapped in Kamui. This means he actually kinda won in a strategic sense....in his one action, Obito has locked away the threat of Kamui, but also is now completing his original plan of bringing back Madara.

As for the generation thing.....yeah that's hard to say....I mean the old generation looks like it just shots on the current one. My guess is that people like Hashirama, Madara, and to s degree Tobirama were probably just the few of the few extremely OP shinobi....it's likely that as a collective the current generation is stronger; however, on s personal level, the best in the past may still be ahead.

That is what I mean the story should be focusing on present generations not blasts from the past. Generations like Hashirama and Madara, there story has ended why put them in such center positions when they barely float in the current story line? Naruto has no real relations with Madara, Kishi will have to pull something out of his ass again to make him feel like a main protagonist for Naruto.

All Madara's influence was dropped when it was revealed the man under the mask was someone else. The war, capturing tail beasts, etc wasn't Madara's plan he had a dream to make a peaceful world and told Obito how to make it a reality. Obito did the rest.

yes it was. Capturing the tailed beasts was his plan. Why'd you think he got gedo masu (juubi shell) and required juubi? How do you think he'd get juubi? Ofcourse he had to capture tailed beasts... Obito used his knowledge and teachings to do the plan. For that matter, madara had his will (zetsu) close to obito at all times and we saw how zetsu kept conversing with obito about plan. Madara had alot of influence.

Plus, Madara's influence wasn't lost when obito was revealed. Far from it, obito was revealed because the real madara was out showing his face and everyone was panicing. No one really bothered much with obito after the real madara showed up. Did you see all 5 hokage join up to fight obito? no. Did you see them join up to fight edo madara? yes. Therefore, they were far more afraid of madara. Considering madara's name is what started the war, madara had all the influence in the world .That war would never have started if obito came into the summit and said 'Hi, I'm obito'. Kages would tell him to **** off and try to kill him right there.
