Rant: Sasuke 101

Hey all,

After today's chapter, I am a bit upset as to how things are unfolding. Here is just a quick rant of how I feel about Sasuke and some future predictions that might happen.

Sasuke Uchiha: Arrogant, power driven avenger fueled by revenge since a young boy. A reader must understand the huge psychological damage that he has suffered from Itachi and Konoha, and his decision to dedicate his life to a pursuit of strength. After finally finding the truth behind his emotional past, in his darkest moment, we see Sasuke joins the Hidden Leaf once again claiming to be an ally. Let's see some of Sasuke's highlights from this series:

• Goal from day 1: Kill Itachi, and revive his clan.
• After meeting Itachi and getting his ass handed to him: his short term goal is to by all means get stronger than Itachi and kill him
• This leads to him joining with Orochimaru: Sasuke realizes how weak he actually is and devotes himself to becoming stronger, leaves Konoha
• Trains with and eventually kills Orochimaru because he is arrogant about his strength and starts his own goon squad
• Finds Itachi, fights Itachi, and 'kills' him - YAY SASUKE GOAL #1 has been accomplished.. BUT WAIT
• Obito explains to Sasuke that Itachi was a good dude and that he was only trying to save Sasuke
• Sasuke loses his shit and his new goal is to avenge Itachi and his clan
• Kills Danzo, but doesn't stop there, he wants revenge on Konoha for the death of his brother and his clan
• Attacks 5 kage summit to show how serious his sadness is
• Backs out and revive Orochimaru who in turn revives the 4 Hokage and plays storytime
• After storytime Sasuke has a new resolve to help Konoha? Remember Sasuke 101 = SASUKE IS FUELED BY EMOTION AND CANNOT CONTROL THEM

In conclusion: Sasuke's character has been pretty straight forward throughout the series. Although we may have had 'hope' in him turning 'good' , his character is dark and vengeful. As he finds content in Itachi's death, he is still warped by his emotions of suffering and wants those responsible to suffer the same pain that he has. His second goal still remains to Avenge his clan, or maybe even to revive his clan.

This leads me to speculate a few things regarding the future of Sasuke's character:

1. Sasuke is actually trying to kill Madara + Obito by any means neccessary to avenge the Uchiha
2. Sasuke is planning to destroy Konoha's hierachy. He needs to be the strongest in order to do this, and may want to become the 10 tails jinchuriki
3. Sasuke wants the most powerful eyes, the Rinnegan either to have power over the world or simply have the power to revive the Uchiha

All signs are pointing that Sasuke is still evil, eg; evil looking panels of Sasuke, Orochimaru's foreshadowing of seeing how Sasuke will change, Sai and Sakura's conversation, and Naruto's reaction to Sasuke.

Surely Sasuke is on Team Konoha, but he surely has plans to do it HIS way. Thoughts on Sasuke?

Personally, I think that's just the character of Sasuke. Has gone through trauma as a child, ends up having extremist thoughts which can shift easily.

But my question is to everyone is when did sasauke ever say he was good again? He only joined the war because madara and obito is a hinderance to his plans..he knows that if madara wins he can't do what he wants to do. As far as he is trying to be the host of the 10 tails I don't agree because its pretty adament he is trying to kill the juubi not weaken it

I was actually just referring to how things are unfolding in general, as in the Kages surviving and how everyone in the Narutoverse is on one battlefield lol. I just wanted to review for others to understand the depth of Sasuke's emotional damage, and that is why he is being portrayed the way he is. Naruto's mission is to essentially save Sasuke from himself. But yeah I completely understand that it is his character, but I just think that the approach as to how it is presented makes everyone else look really foolish.

Sasuke, is not "good" he is just not going to be "good" Happy ending Sasuke comes back to the village yay, live life up with konoha 11, he has a ulterior motive we all know that. If hes hokage or not, he still has something going on
