Ok first off...
I'm tired of seeing people so butthurt about 1) Sasuke being back and wanting to be hokage and 2) everyone wanting the hokage seat and 3) Sakura being of use.
First of all. It wasn't a shocker by any means at all. If it was, you need to get your reading comprehension checked. Naruto's goal in the end of part 1 and most of part 2 was to bring Sasuke back, by Hashirama being the one to convince Sasuke to end the cycle of hatred.. it was obvious someone with more knowledge of the Uchiha had to be the one to talk to him. Sasuke turning good or neutral was bound to happen by plot. Him wanting to be hokage was bound to happen the minute he said he wanted to protect the village, what better position would he have to do that and also end the cycle of hatred? Hokage. He went from hating everyone in that village, even his own classmates, to wanting to put his life on the line in a war fighting with the same people he hated for years now. It shows us how much he's changed.
2) Everyone saying they want to be hokage can be 1 of 2 things. 1) Figuratively 2) Foreshadowing. If it is 1, they are just saying if a criminal of 3yrs can become hokage, then anyone can. If it's 2, then it's a set up for the child rivals we saw in part 1 to fight against each other again... namely Sasuke and Naruto. So it's not a big deal anyway.
3) She was Tsunade's student, of course at some point she would be useful (in the haters eyes since she already was pretty useful before this chapter) Stop with the bashing and going "SEE SHE HAD TO BE SAVED AGAIN" Yeah? After she just tore up the ground and destroyed all of the Jubi clone things, and still standing with the two strongest of her generation? Enough with the Sakura bashing please.
People are so upset that a villain that wasn't even supposed to be a villain really, has turned good. Let me ask you all something. Gaara, were you as upset with him turning good and becoming the kazekage? Some people will argue that it wasn't the same, but if you think about it as power level and pure bloodlust.. at the time Gaara was far about Sasuke.
Anyway.. about the manga.
It was just a set up chapter and everything happened with how I thought it would.
I did find it interesting when Shikamaru said he won't acknowledge Sasuke. Being hokage, you need to be acknowledged and accepted by everyone. This might be foreshadowing him not getting the title or having to explain himself.
Everyone throwing the word hokage around and Sakura finally surpassing Tsunade... is this leading up to changing focus to the Kage? We all know that there is no way Tsunade is going to walk off of the battlefield, let alone doing it alive.
Also Madara is just being a damn brat now.
Thoughts?
