So, I just got done watching KingofLightning's review of the latest Naruto chapter and it absolutely blew my mind. All of the crap he uttered was completely false, and to be honest, it seems like he just generally dislikes Naruto --- to the point where he discusses it only to spit stupendous hate about it (this is my personal view, granted he does point out some of the good aspects of a chapter). It's obvious that he enjoys One Piece more and Toriko (which beats both series in my opinion) and almost never says anything remotely picky about the former. As usual, he's one of those OPtards that swear it's gods gifts to mankind ( =D see, I told you this was a rant).
After watching the review, I fumed for about five minutes and in that time period, my brother came and asked me if I had seen the video to which I heatedly affirmed too. I began releasing my soul to him, telling him why i felt that he was wrong and how warped his views seemed (granted --- it IS his opinion), but seemed like his knowledge was just generally wrong. Believe my surprise when my brother says that he agreed with everything he said. At first, I was stunned, and admittedly so. But I instantly remembered that my brother is an avid One Piece fan and loves to diss on Naruto (not that i'm not connecting the two but they both seem to be conjoined almost every time). My brother's complaints took the insults a step farther and he began to call Naruto predictable to which I was utterly flabbergasted. He also called Obito a bad villain and pointed out his Modus Operandi was a complete load of bull****.
Now, my rant begins here!
First, I will respond to the allegations of KingofLightning claiming Obito is a hypocrite. He say's that Obito stating that Kakashi and Rin are imposters when all he wants to do is create a genjutsu world is hypocrisy, and while the statement does seem to lend itself to the latter, the context in which that quote was meant to really mean was that; Obito truly believes that Kakashi and Rin are imposters. In his mind, the Kakashi he knew was suppose to protect Rin and live up to his promise for he was one of the most powerful ninja Obito had meant agurably. Rin was meant to stay alive as she was the girl he loved and cared for the most! She was suppose to live on in the world and in his perfect scenario they would consummate and be happy. But the exact opposite of those two things occured. You see, Rin died and Kakashi broke his promise. This, without a doubt, shattered Obito's mind and pushed him towards the edge of darkness which he has subsequently fell into. But saying that Obito is a hypocrite for calling the two imposters when all he wants to do is create a world full of them is false. By Kakashi and Rin doing what they did, in his mind, he believed that the two really were imposters and they only way to get the real ones back is by activating the Moons Eye Plan therefore you cannot call him a hypocrite for he honestly believes in this blatant idea that this world is hell and the only way to return it to it's former state is by an infinite illusion.
Secondly, I will respond to my brother's allegations that Obito invoked this war only because of Rin's death and Kakashi's broken promise. As Obito was growing up, he lived through a war (I forget which one ... think it was the fourth). He undoubtedly saw many people die or at least heard about the numerous lives lost. I think this is what further pushed his dream to be Hokage. Then, the girl of his dreams whom with his last dying breath asked his best friend to protect failed at his personal mission and was actually the one who killed her simply added to this already brewing animosity of the world. Before hand, Madara had told him about how rotten this world was and Obito as his good 'ol jolly self cried, "No, No!". Witnessing Rin's death merely pushed an already mentally fragile Obito who ultimately made the choice to save this cruel world in his own way. One that didn't neccessarily call for anything outrageously cruel. As you can see, Rin's death was merely the nail on the coffin in sending Obito over the edge, not the only truth for his old character's demise!
Third, Obito is a bad villain. This is the man who underhandedly started a world war, causing the planet's greatest nations to rise up and join hands one another after previously detesting each other. This is the man who fooled everyone into mistaking his identity, even the great Itachi, and manipulating some of the most hardened men such as Nagato, Sasuke, Itachi, and even Kisame for a little bit. He also spearheaded an organization made up of insane criminals who you would have thought to rip each other's heads off and blow up. He also fooled the audience into thinking he was some nameless fodder. Let's not forget to mention that he killed Konan, manipulated an entire village, slayed a clan and fought the Fourth Hokage, ultimately succeeding in killing him and his wife. This is not a bad villain. All of the poetry he's spit at Naruto is coming from his heart and past experience. He truly wants Naruto to understand that the world is not just all good and dandy.
Whoo! Tell me what you guys think.
