Something just occurred to me. Ransenshuriken may be the perfect counter to wood style. Let's think about the nature of wood style. It's using one's chakra as a life source to grow trees which will take others' chakra and use it a life source as well. This drains the chakra of the victim. Here's how ransenshuriken's nature counters the nature of wood style.
1. In order for wood style to have its desired effect, it needs to bind its target. Ransenshuriken is a cutting technique. Because of this, it will be impossible for trees to bind Naruto in a direct confrontation.
2. There's this aspect. The whole point of wood style is to make trees grow. However....
Understand this. Plants have cells. If ransenshuriken explodes and takes it's effect out on the trees, they will die and cannot grow, rendering it completely useless.
This is yet another one of the reasons why I think people really aren't thinking when they say base Hashirama easily beats Naruto(that's just to much, that's fanboying Hashi to the max and not taking whatever Naruto has into consideration)
Edit: Actually think before you post. No nonsense like blowing this thread off just because you're used to Hashirama being hax. Actually think about this and don't just lazily fanboy Hashirama and decide just "hey, he's the most powerful, so nothing works."
