[Question] Ranks(Genin,Chunin, ect)

could some one explain to me ranks? I lost my Genin badge thingy, whys that? and what are the posts that unlock the new rank? like i know 50 posts was genin, and around 300 is chuninn, can someone explain it all to meh? c:

I know you get ranks from the number of your posts.

But it could be that they haven't updated it. So perhaps they have changed the count of posts.
