Where does each Generation rank in power.

The Old Generation - Garp, Sengoku, Whitebeard, Roger, Rayleigh, Mom, Brook,

2nd Generation - Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, Fujitora, Dragon, Ben beckham, Trebol, Geko Moriah, Megallan,

3rd Generation - Dolfamingo, Mihawk, Shanks, BlackBeard, Vergo, Crocodile, Cracker, Pica,

4th Generation - Marco, Ace, Enel, Rob Lucci, Sabo, Ceasar clown, Nico Robin, Smoker,

5th Generation - Luffy, Law, Zorro, Kid, Drake, Apo, Sanji,

Old one has Garp and Roger which were on par.Has WB which was the strongest man alive and Sengoku who was fleet commander BTS.Reyleigh as a power house on Rogers ship and Big Mom who is a Yonko now. I'd say this is the strongest one.

Then I'm going with 2nd gen,3rd gen,5th gen and lastly...4th gen.

Had a dilemma on 2nd and 3rd gen but seeing 4 Admirals,1st mate Ben Beckman and Dragon there I guess that's too much for Shanks,Mihawk and BB.

You have the tiers spread out and mixed up in each generation, so that's not really easy to answer tbh. You'd have to see how many people in the top tier are in each generation, then the next tier after that and so on.

- Old Generation comes first. "Hero of Marines", "Pirate King", "Fleet Admiral", "Strongest Man", "Right Hand Man of Pirate King", Yonko and Brook are here. While some other generations have yonko and admiral level characters, no one comes close to this team.
- I have put 3rd and 2nd tied, but I would lean toward second, since they have more top tier charactes (Akainu, Kizura Aokiji, Fujitora, Dragon, Benn) then 3rd (Doffy, Mihawk, Shanks and BB)
- Fourth Generation is next mainly because of Marco who can stand on the same level as admiral, and they have characters with better feats than some from 5th generation.
- Fifth Generation is weakest, since they do not have any character who can take out admiral currently.

We don't know enough of the old generation cast to compare if they had as many or as potent top tiers as now though. The absence of evidence isn't the evidence of absence, until Oda gives us more info on the crews and WG at the time before Roger's execution then we can't gauge how well their organizations compared strength wise to today's as a whole.

Why is Beckman in a different gen than Shanks and a previous one at that when Shanks sailed for Roger?

Your 2nd 3rd and 4th Gens are all the same generation really. And if we're being technical BB is part of The Worst Generation so he'd be with Luffy. You're breaking them up by their age generations not the generation of pirating they were part of. So far there's been three pirate generations called out; Roger's, Great Pirate Age generation and The Worst Generation. Pirates fall into 1 of these 3 based on when they made their mark.

Beckman is clearly older than Shanks. Beckman look about a good 42 prior to Luffy getting Gumu df while shanks was only 27.

They're still part of the same pirate generation. The guy broke them out as age generations not pirate generations. Shanks and Beckman are part of the same pirate generation unless Beckman was in a gen before Roger seeing as how Shanks sailed with Roger and then Ben ended up on his crew. Also you're making up years. Here's Ben 12 years ago when he met Luffy

They don't look that far apart I'd say 10 years would be a stretch. Ben just aged more than Shanks since then though Shanks has changed too, he's gotten a bit bigger.

Actually the 2nd generation is listed to everybody that's in their 50's while the 3rd is listing everyone that's in their 40's so that gap could be 1 but as long as the person is in their 50's they belong in the 2nd generation.

Shanks, Marco, Akainu, Kizaru, Kuzan, Mihawk, Dragon, Kadio,BB, Doffy, Ben etc...All belong to the second generation.
