In this thread we would only rank the first(Marco), second(Ace), third(Joz), fifth(Vista), the tenth(Curiel) however since they are the only one i think we could rate

I just can't remember them past these guys. I remember the pistol Japanese guy, and Buffalo, and I think the lightning moustache guy. I usually just end up thinking about them as division captains by rank... So it makes sense that I'm wrong.


If I had to switch up my list I'd say Marco, Jozu, Ace, Vista

Just added picture in OP. Does it help you to remember a bit?

And i do believe you give Ace too much credit but it's maybe it's just me. My list anyway is

1- Marco
2- Joz or Vista(learning towards Joz more though)
3- Joz or Vista
4- Ace
5- Curiel

Reasons? Marco was portrayed to be WB's right hand, fighting evenly with all admirals during the war(Aokiji, Kizaru, Akainu). Joz fought Aokiji(admiral) during more than one chapter evenly and only got defeated because he wanted to go and help his captain. Vista managed to fight evenly with Mihawk during a while before stopping and later fought a bloodlusted Akainu during a while without sustaining injuries at all. Ace on the other hand didn't have feats even close to this

Curiel is the weakest in my ranking though. He got defeated by Akainu and i don't think he has haki

Don't know much about Vista.

I would lean towards Jozu. His diamond ability can be useful for blocking and tanking ranged attacks that Vista may not have the ability to do with just swords.


As for Ace, I guess I'm factoring the overall potential of the Merra Merra no mi. As matching that, Ace's Luffy like tenacity, and the fact he does have Conqueror Haki gives way to overall more power.



The guy you mentioned is easily the weakest of those you have listed.

Lighting sword guy > Cigar guy that's balding > Cross dressing Pistol guy (want to say his name is something like Izomu.... I may be thinking of Izuma/Izuna of the revolutionaries though) > Shakespeare rapier chick > Atomos > Curial.

Marco is the most powerful WB pirate besides WB himself. He was portrayed as the First Mate and fought all three admirals on even ground. He survived a hit from Garp and Kizaru's lasers, the latter without his regeneration ability. With Him being (possibly) the new captain of the remains of their crew is a testament to his strength and fighting capability which are easily Admiral-level.

Jozu was able to harm Aokiji for the first time in the series, and effortlessly tanked Mihawk's slash. He blitzed Crocodile with his speed and only lost to Aokiji due to a distraction. He is easily a high vice-admiral level fighter and can hold his own against the Admirals.

Vista parried with Mihawk and emerged unharmed, showing his own great skill in swordsmanship. He also emerged unharmed from fighting Akainu with the other WB commanders. Currently among the best swordsman in the series, besides Mihawk and Zoro, and a Haki user. Same capability as Jozu, only slightly less due to his lack of a fruit.

Ace was capable of defeating Blackbeard and his crew if he wasn't so reckless. He fought Jinbei and Aokiji, both times at a disadvantage. His usage of Haki is unknown, but with it, he had so much potential to become one of the most powerful characters in the series. At the time of his death, he was a vice-admiral/shichibukai level fighter.

Curiel fought Gekko Moriah and Akainu and managed to survive both encounters. It's possible he has Haki, and is a vice-admiral level fighter.

We don't know how well Ace can use kings Haki or any other but he soloed G-2

That list is incorrect. Rank doesn't represent strength like Oda said in a SBS.

Marco > 2 arm Jozu > Vista > 1 arm Jozu > Ace > Curiel

D: About the Whitebeard Pirates, if there are pirates from the "Whitebeard ally groups", is there a possibility of one of them becoming a commander of the real Whitebeard Pirates itself? Or are the commanders all from the real Whitebeard Pirates from the beginning? P.N. amanuts

O: Ok, I'll explain a little about the Whitebeard Pirates. First, captain Whitebeard and the 16 commanders. All 16 commanders, despite numbers and ages have the same rank. All the same. Whitebeard Pirates are just split in 16 groups and the division number does not indicate strength. The 43 ally pirate ships are not any part of the Whitebeard Pirates and are usually all just scattered everywhere living their own little lives. Yet they are loyal to Whitebeard, and help him in desperate times. They are like that. In Ace's case, the Spade Pirates were destroyed, and all the members joined the Whitebeard Pirates, so he was able to become a commander.

I mean yeah he could use haki but Jozu also has haki so that would even itself out

A swordsman of his calibre should be able to, but no real way to tell. Iirc, Jozu was only seen to only be able to turn one half of his body when he is fighting to diamond, leaving the other half more vulnerable.

seems very odd to not be able to go full diamond,such limitation makes no sense :/

anyway he does have observation haki so he could still harden the correct side
