They're regarded as such because they aren't brave unlike other trios. It's not entirely because they're the weakest. Chopper's strength is certainly not weak trio material.

Oda said he was THE weakest aka would lose to everyone. Unless you have scan that proves otherwise.

They are called the W3 because they are the weakest like how the M3 are the strongest(and the bravest).

I like your putting Brook above Robin, IMO Brook's a fine swordsman and is probably underrated...

Robin cant hurt Brooke. Any physical attack on Brooke's body doesn't hurt him(he even got his neck ripped off it he reattached and healed good as new).

Well this perspective changes from people to people. Maybe this is his just a way of showing/ranking his characters order in terms of strength/ability. Bcoz in terms of skills, even you know that usopp can beat both the womens of SHs.

That is the thing about Usopp. He is the weakest SH but he can beat people waaaay stronger than him if he plays his cards right. He could've beaten Trebol if he used his head.

Chopper, Nami and Usopp were called the weakling trio for a reason and Oda himself said that Usopp has been and always will be the weakest SH. Don't know why people constantly deny the author's words....

Simple reason, I said I will eat hot dog today, but I changed my mind and ate hamburger. So author could change his minds.

Maybe some people see Usopp's feats as better than Nami's and therefore rank him higher.

I would rather go with what author said, but every time some member point that around and I say: give me proof, it ended the same, I haven't gotten a reply.

How is something the said without giving something otherwise flawed? He said that no matter who joins, Usopp will be the weakest so it doesn't upset the balance of the crew. It is a weakness that Usopp will always have. It was in a discussion/interview between Oda and Mayumi Tanaka, Luffy's voice actress. Its easy to find but I don't trust websites I've never been to so you can easily go to it on your own time. I can stand by what I said about the interview.

Oda said Usopp will never be superhuman and people break it down as Usopp will always be the PHYSICALLY weakest but Usopp is faster and tougher than Nami(I can say has more brute strength too). He also said Usopp is a slow progressor.
