[Discussion] Rank Laxus, Gildarts and Makarov?

Rank these 3 characters power wise from 1 to 10 in relation to each other and not in relation to any other characters (say that A is much stronger than B you rank A=10 and B=1 even if B is much stronger than many other characters, ie when ranking dont count anyone but those 3).


Also: Why is Gildarts almost never mentioned outside the guild, even when theres all this talk about the strongest guild, or which guild is the strongest etc, hes never counted as an asset of fairy tail but is always forgotten?

I'd say Gildarts is the strongest. Laxus and Makarov are probably on par(after the tournament arc)

Because Makarov gets ditched every big arc for some laughable reason.

Phantom arc - that wind fodder guy Aria takes him out
Festival arc - locked behind runes
Edolas - stuck in the crystal
Tenrou - taken down by Hades
Tournament - not contending

It's so obvious, the same pattern over and over again to the point it gets annoying. He has been on the brink of death 3 times Hiro has been milking the dying old master card as well.

Makarov is probably too strong to have him fight through most of the fights, same with Gildarts. Lexus is strong, but closer to the level of Natsu and his gang to keep the story interesting, instead of having one powerhouse plow through the enemy. imo

Also Gildarts is probably not mention for a couple reasons:
1) He goes on high class missions that probably don’t get much attention.
2) Writer was lazy and added him later, didn't care about other details.
3) No one really besides Erza, Natsu, Mirajeane, and Lexus get attention outside of the guide. Imo

Laxus is a powerhouse currently stronger than a saint: p.s he beat him yet the wizard saint was fresh and untested in battle:
and yet we know Gildarts is stronger than him: In another league!!!!!!!! He fought the most powerful dragon even and is still alive: to put him in tournaments with fodder would be an insult plus he would simply 1 shot them
as for makarov: he is too OP, his age is his only weakness: I wish they create an arc showing us when gildarts and makarov were younger, maybe at Makarov's prime

1) Took out Porla, a wizard saint with one attack
2) That was a well planned strategy by Laxus. If Makarov had taken part in the fight, it would have been unfair to Laxus and Raijin shuu.
3) No one took him out of the crystal. Is it his fault??
4) Hades had his heart sealed away somewhere safe. No one could have defeated him at that state. besides, he is a guild master with probably some of the strongest wizards by his side.
5) Masters arent allowed to participate.

I'd say that makarov is 10, Giladrts is a 8.5 and Laxus is a 7.8( While Jura is a 8.1)

I would say that Gildarts is the strongest of the bunch. Even stronger than Makarov, who is rather old now. I think he could go toe to toe with Hades, maybe even overpower him. He smashed Bluenote pretty hard, yet he wasn´t any pushover. Surviving a battle with Acnologia is also pretty darn good.

And I still think that Jura is stronger than Laxus, but weaker than Gildarts. It would be definitely a fight to remember
