i have seen them in shops but never brought them,

might give it a go once i finish my current read
You should, it's a great series. Although, it doesn't really show magic/sorcery until book 5, the latest book, and even then, it's still questionable. But it does show medievil/fictional stuff: clashing swords, a few monsters, different groups of people, etc.

cool, medievil/fictional and magic are my favorite genres!!!! :D
Me as well ^^. But as I said, magic isn't a big thing at all in it. And in the 5th book, well they mostly dub it as tricks and such, as one of the characters says it:

"95% of cases I've seen have been nothing but mumbo jumbo and trickery. Nothing that couldn't be solved by a well-placed arrow. Then there's perhaps another three percent that involve mind domination and the manipulation of a weaker mind by a stronger."

The other one adds:

"Another one percent comprises the sort of mass hallucinations that some people are capable of creating."

They leave out the remaining 1 percent for the possibility of sorcery, but even then, they simply say that they can't find a logical explaination for them. So not much magic in it at all.
