a friend and i were joking around at work today talking about what the hokages are possibly going to tell sasuke and one we both thought was funny is...what if in the tablet in the uchiha shrine actually contains a prophecy and in it it says that sasuke is gonna turn evil and destroy konaha and one or more of the uchiha know this and in an attempt to keep the prophecy from happening they were gonna kill sasuke but itachi being the loving brother he is was gonna kill the clan to keep them from killing sasuke and the coup was just a ruse where in the chaos of it all someone would kill sasuke and know one would ever know

Reminds me of the prophecy in Thor regarding Loki and Ragnarok.

I could see it happening, but I doubt it would actually name Sasuke. Probably something about the only surviving Uchiha (or youngest) bringing about Konoha's destruction.
