So for a while the Naruto series has had what I thought were a lot of Star Wars references. Hear me out before you judge my prediction. A lot of this is about how the situation is exactly like Star Wars. Sometimes the characters change who they represent so it is not like Darth Vader is the exact same as Sasuke or anything like that.

I predict that Obito is going to end up betraying Madara for the sake of Naruto and will end up getting harmed beyond repair \ die from wounds that Madara gives him.

My reasoning.

I have been noticing how the current villains act like the Sith.

First you have Madara \ Emperor

He was a man who can be considered on the "dark" path. So was the ruler of the sith. Madara was the leader of his people until everyone got together and made a democracy. So was the ruler of the sith. Madara got mad and wanted more power and to become the supreme leader of his land. So he starts to take over the known areas and then is attacked by the "light" side. The same thing happens to the leader of the sith. Madara is thought to be dead and people forget about him. During this time of being everyone forgets about him then gets a few apprentices and trains them to help him take over the universe. This is the exact same story for the sith in Star Wars.

So while this is happening there is a story of a boy who will become the next destiny child. In Star Wars Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon think this is going to be Anakin. A.k.a. Darth Vader. In Naruto, our sage teacher representing Qui-Gon Jinn, Jiraiya makes a prediction that it will be Nagato. Kishi however splits it here and then uses two apprentices to represent Darth Vader.

One being Nagato and the other being Obito. They both have parts that make them equal to Darth Vader. Darth Vader only fully trusts the new lord of the sith once his wife dies and he is not able to save her. Obito only trusts Madara after the love of his life dies which he can not save. Nagato only trusts "Tobi", who at the time was representative and thought of as Madara, after his best friend dies. So you can see how both of Madara's apprentices represent Darth Vader.

Anyway our story continues.

So our sage dies. Qui-Gon Jinn dies to the apprentice of the dark lord and Jiraiya dies to the apprentice of Madara. After this it is determined in both stories that the person thought to be the apprentice who turned evil was not really the person of legend but is from the generation AFTER the current one. Thus it was not Darth Vader, but his son. And thus it was not Nagato, but Naruto.

Anyway after the newest person tries to use talk-no-jutsu to the evil apprentice, he gets hurt badly. And then is taught a lesson in power by the evil side. This is when the emperor uses his lightning to show that power is great when you join the dark side. And can be seen when Nagato uses his paths of pein to destroy Konoha. At this time Nagato still believes in Madara's plan.

After a quick beat down the dark apprentice then decides to sacrifice his life because the new child of legend and goody goody uses another talk-no-jutsu. This is when Darth Vader decides to throw the emperor over a cliff even though it will cost him his life. And when Nagato decides to bring everyone back to life even though it will cost him his life. This is only after the "dark" side sees the light. Thus you have Darth Vader hearing his son say he was proud of him and that he was still a Jedi. And Nagato says that he can see the peace that Naruto was talking about. Then boom, dead.

So after witnessing that I believe that Obito is going to take the same turn as Nagato and Darth Vader. He is destined for it. Naruto is going to get his ass handed to him by Madara and only after Naruto uses talk-no-jutsu one last time Obito will come around and realize that it cost too much to be "dark" and join the "light" side one last time before he dies trying to stop the evil lord.

Darth Vader also only fully joined the dark side because he wanted a way to keep his friends and love alive. He was sad at the death of his love and it forced him to chose the path of the "dark" side until the real child of destiny used talk-no-jutsu and changed him back to the "light" side. Sound like Obito at all?

So what do you think?

I'd say yes, great thread.

But on the other hand, Obito does not care anymore. Darth Vader cared for a few people and was not completely inhuman. Obito does not care, his love died, he never got a chance with her. His best friend is a top ninja and respected by all, a title Obito wished to receive. He "died" during war, not much will be done to commemorate him. This world, this reality, he doesn't care.

Darth Vader does not care about anyone anymore until the new destiny child comes around and uses talk-no-jutsu after getting an ass whipping by the evil lord.

If Darth Vader still cared would he have tried to kill Yoda and everyone else?

I really think Obito is going to follow the exact same path. They have so much in common.

If Obito gets talk no jutsued and does a dark vader then this manga would have all been for nothing. Obito unleashes the fox, kills minato, helps kill the Uchiha clan, kills jinjurichis and kills hundreds of ninja and then gets talked no jutsued. He would be the lamest villain ever.

Heeeyy. I love the Zetsu pictures. =x Best char in the manga<3.

And yeah if you don't know Star Wars it is a bit confusing. I just really feel as though Obito is going to betray Madara right after Madara beats up Naruto and then uses talk-no-jutsu. It fits perfectly into the Star Wars theory.

That is exactly what Darth Vader did. He betrays all of his "village". He holds a grudge against his people for not being able to or give him the power to keep his love alive. He joins someone who tells him that he can learn how to use his power to bring back the love of his life. He then goes on a path of evil trying to spread the message of the dark lord until that one day he can get enough power to bring back his love.

And after all this killing he shows that he was not always evil and that even though you will be thought of as a monster by a lot of people, the few people who knew you will know that you died by sacrificing your life to save all of man kind.

Actually I didn't even think about it but you can compare Tobi killing his teacher, Minato, to Darth Vader killing his teacher, Obi-Wan.

There are SOOOOO many similarities.

They both force their teacher to respond to their actions and then the teacher decides to sacrifice himself for the next and actual destiny child.

Thus why Minato sacrifices himself for Naruto and Obi-Wan sacrifices himself for Luke.
