It's very useful for piercing/slicing damage and fast movement. The electricity paralyses the target so that they are unable to move and leave them vulnerable to a finishing strike."

- Lightning is strong against earth. This is because it can easily travel through and break the ground apart.
- But it's very weak against wind because it is a natural electrical insulator. At the same time, lightning can potentially surpass the penetrative force of wind by increasing the former's vibration frequency high enough.
- Lightning also has a unique relation with water, since water conducts electricity. This means that a Water Release technique can be used to increase the damage of a Lightning Release technique and vice versa. Though this also means that if one's opponent still has a physical connection with the water, either a pre-existing source or one created with their own chakra, then they can be paralysed through their own technique.
- Lightning is much more powerful when it utilises natural lightning; a powerful Fire Release technique shot into the sky can produce thunderclouds in preparation for this.
Storm Release (嵐遁, Ranton) is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines lightning and water-based chakra to create energy beams that can be guided towards the enemy.

Since you've never molded raiton chakra before try acquiring a strong mental image of the nature of lightning (a description of lightning's characteristics) and mold a portion of your chakra to mimic that nature. Afterwards, transfer the chakra to your hand and covert it into small lightning bolts released at your target. Try shocking me.

Ghirahim closes his eyes, attempting to create a mental image of his chakra molding to form an electrical shape. He points his palm at Ushiro's arm, and focuses his chakra to a single point at the center of his hand. As Ghirahim feels a surprising shock, the Lightning chakra particles begin to form into small bolts of lightning. He proceeds to release one at Ushiro's arm.

He then proceeds to gather a huge quantity of chakra to the centre of his palm. He hesitates for a bit, but then continues to slam his hand on the ground. The feeling of the electrical current flowing out his body made him squint.
"How's that?" Ghirahim panted as he bent down to catch his breath.

As Ghirahim looks at the six paths, he begins to concentrate his chakra towards his hands. He starts moulding it into lightning chakra, and closes his eyes. As he slams both his hands on the hard ground, a surge of lightning is sent from his hand to the ground. He continues to hold his hands on the ground to keep up the high frequency vibrations, and to also make sure it reaches the right target. The lightning moves fast and eventually reaches the six paths. Ghirahim sees them jump from the shock and smiles.
Not bad. Let's see if you're ready for sets of three. This one is pretty simple: Just gather lightning in your hands and release it towards your target as a wave of lightning bolts to shock him. Here's a volunteer.

Answer: Most wind jutsu. If you happen to be on water, the basic water jutsu could blast you out of range if you're quick enough.

Now i want you to run up the face of this cliff and perform the Snake handseal, an upside down Tiger handseal, and clap your hands together. Once you've done that release a wave of electricity into the rock above to break off chunks of it, crushing whoever is below you once the rock rains past you. Your target will be following you up the cliff.
*randomly chooses an unlucky Pein to follow you*
(Raiton: Iwa Nadare) - Lightning Style: Stone Avalanche

Descripton: By forming hand seals Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped together and running up a cliff face, the user causes stone and rock above him to become dislodged and rain down past him onto his opponents below by releasing a wave of electrical energy. However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work.
Next, raise your hand in front of you with your fingers strait. Gather lightning in your hand and release it in the form of a large horn made up of several lightning bolts spread out. Fend these guys off.

(Raiton: Shuurai Rappa no Jutsu) - Lightning Release: Lightning Strike Horn Technique

Description: The user will raise their hand in front of them like a sword and it will begin glowing a pale yellow before releasing bolts of lightning in the shape of a horn that spread outwards allowing it to attack multiple targets.
Now take out a sword and channel raiton chakra throughout the blade to enhance its sharpness. With that done you utilize the chakra within it to levitate the sword before creating two more physical copies of it, also levitating. You should then control the blades to spin quickly and fly towards your target almost like shurikens.

They will then multiply the sword creating two extra physical copies which are then all manipulated to spin rapidly and are controlled to fly towards and cut through the opponent/s through hand gestures. While controlling the weapons, the user cannot mold chakra for other techniques and needs to keep focus.
