"Raiton or Lightning release is one of the basic nature release, it is made by vibrating your chakra, thus increasing its speed and piercing power, lightning can also paralyze a target, leaving them vunerable, lightning can be combined with weapons to increase their piercing power, and transmit energy throught it, because metal conducts energy well, lightning is slower when released throught the user body, instead of it's true form, like in the jutsu Kirin, which hits in a 1/1000 of a second.
-Lightning Release is strong to Earth release because of it's piercing power
-Lightning Release is weak against Wind release because wind is a natural instulator
-Lightning Release has a form called Black Lightning, it can only be used by Darui and the Third Raikage.
-Lightning Release is part of the KG Storm Release.
I think that's all, what I like is to RP, obviously, I like people that help others when they need it and honest people, I hate corrupts and hypocrites. I dream on being as powerful as the top RPers, and to lead a custom clan."

Yes Raiton has the reputation of being the fastest basic element in the NW, Kirin is so fast that it can only be stopped or avoided by automatic defenses like Susano'o, or other extremely fast techniques like FTG. So it can cut through almost anything that is solid and can also be used to paralyze an enemy beyond measure, then you have techs like Kirin made for pure destruction. Raiton can easily be applied to most metal weapons as it conducts the Raiton and gains its piercing/cutting ability. You might see this often with kenjutsu type fighters. Some of its techs might require le stormy conditions but other than that Raiton jutsus are usually channeled by the user himself meaning terrain never really matters as you will most likely be able to use it unless you're like underwater or waist deep in it. LMAO. You know its basic weaknesses and strengths, but here are some more.

Raiton is one of the hardest basic elements to perform jutsu combinations with. When I say combinations I mean mixing jutsus or combining jutsus. The only thing that has that relationship is suiton and even then you have to be careful to not electrocute yourself. Next best thing is Fire which does not necessarily mix with Raiton but because of their intangible nature Raiton and Katon can pass through each other without effecting one another in any way. Some Katon techs are solid enough to be effected by Raiton,however. Some people have figured out ways to create jutsus that utilize the power of Raiton along with Fuuton or Doton, there is even a jutsu that deals with Earth when we get to it. It is not a common thing and you have to get creative whn utilizing Raiton with earth and Fuuton as their interaction almost guarantess the destruction of one or the other. Another note is that although Raiton is not weak to water you must be careful. If the opponent uses a water jutsu near you; you have to be certain you can pull off a Raiton based attack without harming yourself.

Lava is weak to Raiton
Wood is weak to Raiton
Crystal is weak to Raiton
Ice is weak to Raiton
Steel is weak to Raiton

Strong to Scorch because they cant be dehydrated, neutral to Dust cuz it cant be disentagrated, can diffuse detonation in Blast release, lightning can eliminate shadows around you if used properly.

Paper is actually strong to Raiton as iis the viberations that produce its cutting power, and lightning cannot be effectively channeled through paper so it is actually double weak to Paper.

Be careful around rain as in certain cases Rain jutsus can get you electrocuted should you use Raiton.

Okay in regards to your wood question view Raiton as the ultimate sword, or drill instead of electricity because it is more defined by its shredding penetration than it is as electricity in my opinion. It is vibrating rapidly and violently which allows it to pierce though objects through sheer force especially when it is focused to a point making it even more lethal like lighting blade or lightning spears. With wood being solid it is susceptible to being cut through by lightning as that is its most noticeable property even more noticeable than paralyzation. When the violent, slicing, penetrating currents travel through Wood it is penetrated as most solids are that come in contact with Raiton thus shredded. Most tangible objects are susceptible to this penetration and Wood being just as tangible as earth or steel is no exception. Its less of a question of the element itself but rather their unique properties as jutsu in the NW which is why for example Raiton beats Ice. Looking at their elemental make up tey appear neutral with no clear winner but their behavior is what sets them apart. Ligthning is made mainly for intense shredding and or penetration and solids are the most vulnerable things to getting cut through somost solids end up weak to Raiton because they simply cant defend against it.

And steel. Theoretically yes if the enemy was coated in steel and had contact with that steel, Raiton might get him electrocuted as it is highly conductive but the problem is more often than not you will end up destroying the steel with a Raiton attack unless you use a low rank Raiton or a smaller attack so it penetrates one point but electrocutes the rest. If contact is not made with steel (like a dome) then the Raiton will probably cut through the steel and travel toward him depending on rank. The person under attack will most likely cut through the steel with Raiton to get out of it though. So in both cases the enemy ned not worry about being electrocuted because half the time the Raiton will b piercing through the coating and injure him directly. SO I guess to sum it up yes I believe steel being conductive will get them electrocuted although it is more difficult then electrocuting them in water.

Sasuke gets the paper in his right hand, he gathers raw chakra in his hand, applying it to the paper, nothing happens yet, now he thinks of the characteristics of lightning, an fast, free, energetic and untamed element, which flows freely throught eletricity, being able to power up things, or destroy them, he then tries using that thinks to transform the raw chakra into raiton chakra, the paper gets wrinkled.

Since you've never molded raiton chakra before try acquiring a strong mental image of the nature of lightning (a description of lightning's characteristics) and mold a portion of your chakra to mimic that nature. Afterwards, transfer the chakra to your hand and covert it into small lightning bolts released at your target. Try shocking me.

Sasuke starts focusing on gathering raw chakra around his right hand which was near yours, he then, thinking of the characteristics of thunder, a free, very fast, destructive, untamed element, eletricity, with that strong mental image, Sasuke starts trying to apply it to it's chakra, by vibrating the chakra, after some tries, he sucefully transforms the raw chakra into a sparkling blue bold that goes in the direction of your arm, shocking you.

Good job...stung a little but i'm fine. T^T Now i want you to gather lightning chakra in your hand and slam it on the ground. Release the chakra as an electrical current moving across the ground to a nearby target to shock his legs and make him collapse. Try it on one of these guys. I'm sure they won't mind. :heh:

Sasuke extends his right hand in the direction of the clone, molding chakra and gathering it on his extended hand, now, focusing on changing the properties of the raw chakra, thinking of lightning, vibrating it, turning it into small blue sparks of lightning, as the sparks are created, Sasuke focus on controlling the sparks, sending them towards the clone in a line, as they hit the clone, the sparks shock the clone, making it disappear.

For the first technique I will need you to perform the Tiger → Snake → Dog hand seal and create an electric current from the hand that has the potential ability to hit multiple targets at the same time!. Not to mention, it can travel upto long distance!.

The second technique is pretty much the same, except the fact that instead of hand seals, you raise your hand and keep it in a particular stance!. As you concentrate the Raiton chakra, it starts to glow in pale yellow color before releasing bolts of lightning in the shape of horn that spread outwards and attacks multiple target!.

For the above two technique, I need you to make a small comparison between then after performing them. Like what are the similarities between them. Which one is more versatile!. etc etc!.

Furthermore, it extends into incredible distances and can avoid obstacles.

(Raiton: Shuurai Rappa no Jutsu) - Lightning Release: Lightning Strike Horn Technique Rank: C Type: Offensive Range: Short - Mid Chakra cost: 15 Damage points: 30 Description: The user will raise their hand infront of them like a sword. It will begin glowing in a pale yellow before releasing bolts of lightning in the shape of a horn that spread outwards, allowing it to attack multiple targets.

I first perform the Tiger -> Snake -> Dog handseals and then, extending my hand into the ground, I focus on gathering raw chakra in my right hand that is extended, a small blue aura appears around it, as I do it, I focus on manipulating the properties of the chakra, vibrating it, creating energy because of the vibration, as the process repeats very quickly, the chakra becomes small blue sparks of chakra, which I conduce into a eletrical current that travels toward the clone, dispersing 3 of them.
Then, I, holding my hand upward, do the same process, getting first raw chakra in the extended right hand, as the same small blue aura appears, then, manipulating the particles of the chakra,
the chakra then vibrates and turns into a small yellow, with my arm extended, it looks like a yellow sword, then I manipulate the raiton chakra, making it appear 2 small yellow bolts of lightning, which each of them hit the remaining clones, shocking them before dispersing.

"Well, the first technique is more like a chain lightning, but it has handseals, which makes it slower than the other technique, but it also has bigger range, compensing for the handseals.

Now, I am going to perform a water stream technique! My clone next to me is going to concentrate it's lightning chakra and create a wave of electricity from it's hands and channel it through the water thereby increasing the destructive power of the water. Now then, I will once again create a stream of water and send it towards the clone!. Channel your lightning chakra into the water stream and help me take out that unruly clone!.

"Let's do this !! Let's take out that clone and show him what we are capable of. Shall we? U_U"

(Raiton: Jibashi) - Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder Rank: C Type: Offense Range: Short (Short-Long depending on the water technique) Chakra Cost: 15 Damage Points: 30 (+10 to a water technique when used in conjunction) Description: This jutsu allows the user to create a wave of electricity from the user's hands. This jutsu can vary in power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water jutsu.
