Raining effects, help!

GIMP:I have a question..I know how to make the raining effect but after aI save it. The rain doesn't work..the gif is still "still"??? I saved it as a gif image so what's wrong now?? I don't get it :/

Do you save it as 'animation' or do you merge the layers. You can check this when your'e saving it

The problem could also be what prog you're using to view it. Try opening it in you internet browser

I'm probably merging the layer..Hmm, I should fix that. Thx
