Alright, tell me what you know about rain. Both in real life and in the Narutoverse. What uses it has, how it can be best used, etc. Everything. I want books posted. @_@

Real Life
Rain is a condensed form of water vapour which is stored in the clouds. The water vapour is formed through the evaporation of water by the sun. The water vapour is then held up in the clouds for a while and the more the water that is being evapourated, the more the clouds become heavier. As the water vapour gathers in the clouds, the cool air that is found at such altitudes cool the water vapour, causing them to condense back to water but in the form of droplets. These water droplets prove too heavy for the clouds to hold and so they fall back to the ground as what is known as Rain.
Rain helps to saturate the ground, increasing crop yield. It also regulates the temperature of the atmosphere, cooling it.
Narutoverse
The Rain element is a unique element that requires the mastery of Water and Wind. It is synonymous with members of the Hidden Rain Village. It is best used for direct attacks due to the precision of raindrops.

Rain is a element which is created using the mastery over water and wind element, Rain release in my opinion is one of the strong and as well as dead element of our RP, Strong because it is very versatile in terms of usage because you can use it too attack, defense, supplementary stuffs like the sticky rain stuff and my personal favorite to induce genjutsu and it is not all that makes Rain release a strong element, In my opinion it is rather tricky to deal with it too, tell me who is always looking up towards the sky while suspecting a attack instead of dealing with the opponent who is in front of him?
There are still couple of things which makes rain a very strong element-
1. It is fast in terms of speed.
2. In most of the cases it effects multiple enemies thanks to it's long range.
3. In most of the cases you can use it any where on battle field because when rain is pouring down, it poring down equally everywhere. etc etc.
Now I come to the second part of my statement and that being that it is a dead element, now I know it has a few disadvantages associated with it like, one need's to either have ongoing rain or summon rain clouds for using most of the jutsu which in does require good preparatory time, It is hard to use it in dry places as there is less moisture in the air and it can't be exploited easily and thus technique take's a little longer than usual time to be ready but still I think if we put aside these couple of disadvantage there is no main disadvantage associated to it where as the advantage are as much as you can come up with, but still people don't use rain element everyone want's Sound release now a days, I have a habit of reading Spar's and fights and I won't lie to you the last time I saw anyone using rain was like 6-7 months ago, The user was Xanthe and he had used the Stop Rain technique to stop his opponent's rain tiger will technique and let me tell you it was not a 1vs1 fight, it was a village invasion therefor it became necessary to stop that technique.

Rain is nothing more than water which had once risen up from the ground as moisture, which was created due to evaporation, once the moisture went high up in the atmosphere it got condensed and fall back onto earth in form of rain droplet's, Rain is very useful to us as not only it provides plant's and trees with water but it also is one of the main source of fresh water for human consumption.

After it has first started to rain, focus chakra into your hand, causing rain drops to gather inside it, stuck together by chakra and molded into a rasengan-type sphere of pressurized chakra + water. After done, release it, shooting it away towards a target, knocking them back. As you use it, it pushes you back from the force.

So we assume that it's raining on the field already?
How you perform it: I channel my rain chakra into the rain as it falls. Then I manipulate my chakra in the rain and open my right palm, taking control of the water droplets that fall on my hand. As the touch my hand, I begin to gather and mold them into an orb. I keep focusing chakra into it so that it becomes highly pressured. Then I direct it at [insert name here] blasting him away while I am pushed a few steps backwards.
Advantages: It can be used to create a measure of distance between the user and the opponent if one is not ready for a taijutsu battle.
Disadvantages:
It doesn't look to me as a fast technique and even if it is, it doesn't have much effect on an opponent.
How would you defend yourself from this jutsu: By hardening my body to negate any damage or by increasing my weight so that I am not moved by it.

Yes, it's permanently raining in this training session. O_O
And unless the technique says it creates rain, yes you have to have made it rain beforehand or it must be raining at the least. It's relatively weak as it's a D-rank jutsu.

How you perform it: I channel my rain chakra into the clouds and spike it, causing it to start raining. As the rain sets in, I keep focusing chakra into it so that it becomes heavy. I then manipulate its properties, making it stickier so that as it rains down upon him, it binds him in place.
Advantages: It can be used to restrain the movement of the target therefore buying the user more time to attack or flee.
Disadvantages: The opponent can quickly move away from the location of the rain when he feels the first heavy and sticky raindrops, hence making it useless.
How would you defend yourself from this jutsu: By creating a vortex of wind to act as a shield against the rain, by propelling oneself out of the rain's path or by quickly going underground.
The picture of the technique and/or anything else that you find interesting: It creates its own rain source

How you perform it: I focus my chakra into the rain, taking control of it. I now begin to manipulate some raindrops as they fall, suspending them before they hit the ground and bending them to begin to take the shape of a human. Then I begin to mold the shape of the water fit my physical appearance, successfull create a rain clone.
Advantages: It is a perfect way to fool opponents into attacking it, allowing the user to perform a sneak attack from the opponent's blindside.
Disadvantages: It is destroyed after just one hit.
How would you defend yourself from this jutsu: It is a really dicey one because unless I have some way to tell the difference between clone and an original, I won't know that's a clone. Or I could use a technique that is widespread so that it can attack both the clone and the original.

Similar to the jutsu you just used, this one bends the rain around you, to cause it to appear as if you have disappeared within the rain. In all actuality, you are simply 'transformed' into rain, hiding within it. If you move too fast, you can be spotted however. Too fast would be speeds above walking imo

How you perform it: I wave the needed hand-seals and begin to channel rain chakra through my body and into the rain. As it falls, I constantly manipulate the rain to fall heavier around me as I move. This allows me to mold the rain around my body, blending it with my already gathered chakra so that it transforms my body and makes it similar to the falling drops of rain.
Advantages: It provides adequate concealment that can be used to launch stealth attacks.
Disadvantages: It makes no sense to me that one would become invisible and not be able to move at a fast pace with it. That to me is a big flaw.
How would you defend yourself from this jutsu: Immediately the person disappears from my sight, I would use a wide spread attack since he must walk to remain invisible.
