I believe there is a slight misconception concerning Raikage's abilities. People think that Raikage can stay in V2 as he will because of Karin's statement here saying his chakra grow to Bijuu level:
But think deeply about it. This sentence should in the contrary make us understand that Raikage needs to increase his chakra level to Bijuu level to be able to use V2. Do you really think that Raikage can maintain such a huge quantity of chakra in a fight? Obviously not. It's the reason why eventhough
He only used V2 against Amaterasu for example because he needed enough speed to outrun Amaterasu and speedblitz Sasuke. He used V2 directly against Minato because he knew how dangerous he was that if he held back, it would mean his end
I just wanted to create this thread because i believe it's a misconception concerning Raikage's abilities. In a long fight, using V2 very often is not really a good option. In the contrary, he only uses it for a decisiv attack or when he has no other choice. That's why even in his fight against Madara, notice that he didn't even used V2 once, probably because Onoki's help was enough for him to be extremly fast and at the same time conserving his chakra

V2 is a really fast move, but to do that, he needs to increase his chakra level into Bijuu level, something he can obviously not maintain since it takes too much chakra for that. That's why in a long fight, he would need to conserve chakra and only use the V1, using the V2 only if he wants to end a fight quickly or if he has no other choice. He only used V2 against Amaterasu for example because he needed enough speed to outrun Amaterasu and speedblitz Sasuke.
