Re: Test
In real life, radiation is the process by which energy is emitted as particles or waves. Radiation in the RP is an energy-based element created through the fusion of lightning and fire. Rather than covering everything on the EM spectrum, Radiation covers four basic types: alpha, beta, gamma and radioactive decay. Alpha radiation is the most ionizing as it's easily absorbed by cells and would wreak the most havoc if it somehow entered the body (e.g. through ingestion of some radioactive). However it's the least penetrating and can be stopped by a sheet of paper. Gamma is the most penetrating but the least ionizing. It can only be stopped by lead (or something of a similar density) and can cause mutations. Beta is a balance between the two, it's more penetrating than Alpha and more ionizing than Gamma. It can be stopped by sheets of aluminium. As for radioactive decay, it can be used to turn one chemical element into another if the nuclei is split.
