but isn't that the issue, we tend to look past situations like these?

Yeah, but it doesnt really bother me. Being a minority (Black) born in America, I dont put to much weight in that stuff. If I did, Id get butthurt everyday easily. I just go with the flow.

dude the US media is still has a lowkey racist/stereotypacle aspect in terms of crime and international wrongings. only thing to do is dont let it bug you and move on. once you fight back you become a target in the eyes of the us gov.

Did those of your race before just "go with the flow"? Everyday someone is butthurt, is it more ridiculous to sit and withstand the acts or address it just as human being?

Wow! I really didn't think people thought this way. The fear of being a target directly for standing up for what's right, is greater than being a target indirectly in a more modest way everyday knowing and waiting for it to happen.

I do appreciate the feedback though!

well thats an understandable way to think but for those who are trying to do something with life and have things to do and people to support, being societies and governments number 1 target doesnt help your own self cause for living. yea its a selfish way of thought but is this world and time its survival of the fittest.

but aren't you already a target? are you really helping yourself by ignoring it or hurting yourself? As a minority you wont be the one to survive of the fittest, maybe of your respected group.

true but making it outta the hood is a start. but remember the way to move and change thoughts is not by words but by actions. words only get so far but the actions gives all the support to those words. thats where the saying "all bark no bite" refers to

that is very true, actions do speak louder. So yes, just proving those wrong is a start but for them to acknowledge their fault action should too be taken.

as a person of minorty we can only do so much. we can preach on how things need to change and perspectives of certain things are wrong but when we still have those in our respective minorties doing those things that are causing stereotypes the world and aspects of people as a whole will never change. people always acknowledge the wrong and cloud the right because the wrong easiest to critisize and is always put on blast

Am I the only one that's somewhat confused by what you're trying to say? I looked at the footage, and they were somewhat darker skinned, but I didn't notice anyone even mentioning that in any broadcasts. You might simply be watching a racist local news station. ^_^

TBH society in general will always have racist tendencies, although not everyone acts upon it.
That's just how the world work, we categorize and every person thinks they are better than others to a certain degree.

"a bomben musta been one of dem der mooselims" When I first heard of the bombings people flooded me with "THOSE DAMN MUSLIM ****ERS" Most people point a finger at Muslims when bombings happen. Which is sad as most Muslims are rather nice people, some people think that Muslim is a race too . . .
