In class this week we discussed the Boston bombing like everyone else. But one major issue is how suspects was categorized. They first were called dark-skinned and later labelled as Russians, yet from an looking at them solely based off the color of their skin, they appear to be white.
The reason why we brought this up is because, when a suspect is labelled as a terrorist they have to be that one a minority group. Usually when a suspect is being looked for they call them either "Hispanic" "black" categorizing all Hispanic and black looking individuals. Yet, when these bombers are described they are darker skinned, this including mostly all minority groups, yet indeed they are white skinned.
I found this interesting and quite disturbing how bias news broadcasters are. I think I made this clear
Does anyone notice this?
Is this nothing at all?
Is society still racist
just interested in opinions, not to really debate.
