So, maybe it's just me.....but it seems like a bunch of artists today are making club type pop songs. For example, Nicki Minaj's "Star Ship" song with the club mix when the beat drops, and also in Rhianna's song, "Where Have You Been." Flo Rida, Chris Brown, Usher, and Ne-Yo have also changed their styles to this pop trend. I think this is a rather nice change. It really shows that race doesn't rule which genre of music they can make. Any race can make any type of music they want, and I think that people wont even be able to judge (well of course they are, but you get it). Because of this, it makes me happy that the terms, "White People Music" or "Black People Music" can be put to rest. :);):D

I think the racial divide in music has been dead for a while now. I think the move of pop music towards shitty dance tracks is disgraceful though.

If you're really trying to make a point about race not being related to genre, why did you only list black artists?

I think the racial barrier was pretty much torn down when white people became good rappers.

As for music nowadays, there are a few people who should just stop. Examples:

1. Nicki Minaj
2. 2 Chainz
3. Lil B
4. Lil Wayne

Geez, I really am behind the times aren't I? >__< I was just thinking about this today because of some conversation I heard in the salon about it. Yes, I realize that I only talked about black artists, that was my bad.....I listen to wide variety of stuff but the whole black and white thing really stuck out to me. In my environment, it seems like people only listen to rap, hip-hop, and r&b because they think that's what they're supposed to listen to. The same goes for white people, ans Latinos. And then when something different is presented, they just reject it....

Ugh, I've never liked those artists. I change the station every time I hear them.
