I don't think it's a big deal, with the internet and family guy most "kids" have heard or seen worse.
I do believe there's a time and a place for everything though.
I am not cool with stifling the creative process to make a few people more comfortable and outright rejection of certain content for the sole reason of "offending" people in mainstream media aggravates me. That being said, certain conditions and criteria need to be met at all times, and if those conditions are breached, then censoring the product is the easiest thing to do.
Censorship processes that I am in favor of is removing suggestive content from children centered products and making sure offensive material is not accepted in the mainstream. Censorship practices I am not cool with are making changes and alterations to mature content in a stupid attempt at making them child-friendly.
Now when it comes to sociopolitical implications and advocacy for specific groups of people I feel they always have the right to speak their minds without being shut down. Looking at many waves over the course of human history, the 1st feminist wave is perhaps the best example of people being shut down and censored for the sake of preserving on idealistic mentality.
Overall, I think censorship is a difficult matter to discuss, but less censorship is always the way to go.
