Mixed about it. Don't like the possibility of him being somewhat of a mutant, takes away from the special feeling Sanji had, no weapons, no DF, yet so strong in his own right, he was something truly unique. (Pro out of this all would be DJ explained)

But like always, Oda's flashbacks have you immersed, no way can I say it's not interesting.

I doubt Oda will decide to make him a mutant. Seems like being normal is a theme for Sanji. I think he'll prove himself against his family and show that he is formdabbile even if the stats showed he is normal.

My feelings exactly. Outside of the Sanji mutant stuff, Sanji's backstory with the Vinsmokes is definitely getting more and more interesting. I didn't think Sanji would get another sad past after the Zeff stuff. With Zeff and Vegapunk being involved into this it tops it up

It's been pretty great for me. Sanji used to be my favorite Strawhat and I was disappointed from his apparent regression as a character since the timeskip, but this is resolving it for me. In a manga with talking reindeer, talking skeletons, and where tons of the best characters are some kind of freak or DF user, I couldn't care less that Sanji was genetically modified, especially since the modifications didn't do shit for him and he progressed like a normal human being anyways.

I'm loving the backstory for sure.. but I'm really disliking his family so far.. his sister may turn out to be an okay character depending on how the arc ends, but idk yet.. also with Oda you just never know... he may have the Vinsmokes apologize and do something to atone for all of their wrong doings and I may like them in the end.. who knows.. lol

So yeah I'm definitely interested to see how everything wraps up!
