Octavia Dimas Pinales, 83, of Corsicana passed away Friday,September 10 , 2010, in Corsicana.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Grady Cashion and Reverend Julio Rodriguez officiating. Internment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Palos, John Palos, Lewis Palos, Harry Palos, Luther Palos and Jonny Santos.

Mrs. Pinales was born Feb. 9, 1923 in Lorena to Lonnie and Mary Dimas. To the family there was not a better example of Proverbs 31 than their mother, Octavia Dimas Pinales. What better day could she be received by the Lord than on Mother’s Day. She modeled servitude in all her actions and practiced hospitality to all on a daily basis. She shared of her means and the Lord truly blessed her abundantly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim E. Pinales; and brothers Jessie and John Dimas.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Arlene Pinales of Haslett; daughter and sons-in-law Delores and Johnny Flores, and Olivia and Michael Jones, all of Corsicana; daughters Olga Bridgewater of Arkadia, Kan., and Terry Arredondo of Austin; grandsons Joseph Michael Ramirez of Arkadia, Kan., Jimmy Charles Pinales Albertson of Dallas, Jeffrey Ryan Pinales of Phoenix, Ariz., John David Flores of Blooming Grove, Stephen Michael Lopez of Austin, and Michael B. Jones and Jonathan Gabriel Jones, both of Corsicana; granddaughters Natalie Robinson and Rachel Arredondo, both of Austin, Brenda Jenine Pinales of El Paso, and Elizabeth Marie Pannabecker and Susanna Maria Jones, both of Corsicana; great granddaughters Brittney Pinales of El Paso and Brianna Nicole Flores of Blooming Grove; great grandsons Sabastian Deere of Corsicana and Adam Taylor Flores of Blooming Grove; sister and brother-in-law Ramona D. and Bill Teeden of Tampa, Fla.; brother Lonnie Dimas, Jr. of Corsicana; and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
