He sits down on the ground, crosses his legs, bawls his fingers into a fist and rests his chin on it. Lunar closes his eyes and then sighs. "A heart, compassion, love and someone to save you."

"If you want a friend then you have one already whether you choose to acknowledge it or not. I can understand why you hate humanity, I'm not too fond of them myself. Hell they've probably pissed themselves with laughter at the amount of injuries I've gotten but the one thing I won't show them is weakness. I'd rather do this having a good time because of that, and I don't want to lose who I was out there in the real world. But you've heard all of that already haven't you? So I'm going to cut a long story short and say with the utmost of confidence. The following. I will get you out of this place so that you can see what the world is like and so that you can have a hot meal, hell I'll even buy you your first beer. I know what you're thinking, words aren't actions and how do you know I'm not just lying right to your face. Well for one I'm awful at lying so I couldn't anyway and two I'll give you an action now."

Lunar stands up and takes out a rusty knife from his back pack. "Must've rusted over time, it'll do..." Lunar takes the knife and cuts the entire way from the top left corner of his palm to the bottom right. As the blood drains from my hand I start spreading it all over the inside of my hand. Once my hand has been covered in a dark crimson colour I press my hand up against the cross and above the writing I leave a blood red hand print. I then take my hand off of the cross and bandage it up with a torn off part of my shirt while sitting back down on the ground again. "I know it's a massive thing for you to do and this situation makes it even bigger but all I ask is that you have faith in me. Your first friend."

She doesn't respond, instead the girls body begins to shake and she remains curled up in a ball with her face in her hands which are buried in the ground of the cave surrounding them. Weeping she is unable to reply, in the cover of her hands she opens her mouth but no words come out, all she can do is weep and squeel. Soon enough even this becomes to much as the tears streaming from her face continue to flood, but now in silence, all the energy from her body is gone and she is left unable to even make a sounds as the liquids in her throat and mouth are transported into her eyes to leave her body along with the rest of her bodily fluids. Cold and aching her shivering comes to a halt, the occasional jitter all she can manage in her hunched up position in the dirt. With the last of her strength she lifts one hand from the dirt and slides it out in front of her raising one finger she waves it slowly from side to side. No, she signals. After holding this gesture briefly she drops her arm to the ground and points in the direction of the cave entrance before retreating her hand back into her body. Her eyes remain locked firmly closed and facing the ground through the entire movement, no acknowledgement is made of him with her face.

"Sorry but I can't do that, it's not an option and I know you really don't want me to see you like this but I'm sorry I can't. You're freezing cold, you look like you're at death's door with the amount of shivering you're doing."

He begins to search around in his backpack for the blanket he used the night before and eventually finds it in the mess. Pulling it out he wraps it around her and tucks her in. I then sit down beside her with my eyes closed.

She stands up once she feels that he is not listening or watching and walks slowly to the waters edge, she kneels by it and begins to splash the clean water into her face cleaning it of any tears and extinguishing the redness which appeared around her eyes. She then gets back onto her feet and walks over to the cross before spitting on the ground beneath it. She turns and walks toward the exit/entrance before stopping and calling to him.

"We better get moving if you're really going to get me outta here."

She stands up once she feels that he is not listening or watching and walks slowly to the waters edge, she kneels by it and begins to splash the clean water into her face cleaning it of any tears and extinguishing the redness which appeared around her eyes. She then gets back onto her feet and walks over to the cross before spitting on the ground beneath it. She turns and walks toward the exit/entrance before stopping and calling to him.
