One of the greatest scientists ever has passed away at the age of 88. Alexander Shulgin was not only a great scientist, but also a philosopher. He's a figure I looked up to since I was 19. He was a chemist and a great one at that. He became very popular when he synthesized MDMA. His wife used MDMA in in therapy sessions in the 60's, and found out that he could achieve in as very little as 3 hours of therapy, what most therapists would take years just to do. He synthesized a lot more compounds than just that, and used them in psychopharmacology. I've seen a bunch of interviews he's done and he truly was a wise man. Unfortunately though our government is scared of free thinkers, and they try to put boundaries on people who have progressive ideals. It's sad that he passed, but we all must go sometime. Hopefully there is a heaven, and if there is, he's undoubtedly in it right now. Rest in peace Alexander Shulgin.
Here's an interview with him done by Vice, if your interested.
