But whatever dude. You know what, it doesn't matter what kind of Religion you have or if you have one or not. What matters is that you form a good conscience, do what is right and in the end, you will be rewarded. I am a Christian and I have been educated well in it but that doesn't mean I'm a goody-goody person. I prolly have the same problems as every teenager like pornography or whatever but that doesn't mean it makes me any less of a Christian. I believe that if I just do what God told me (which is to be good, love your neighbors, and love God above all which just really means be thankful for everything and stuff) then you will be rewarded when you die. Simple. Personally, the reason why I think people keep questioning Religion is because they are using it as a scapegoat to get away with the bad things they do, so yeah.

with you spreading misinformation like this in a public site, then yes, I consider it as bashing of some form
no i'm not
i'm just asking why would you call someone else's religion ridiculous...
when yours is just as ridiculous when you really think about it

not bashing Christianity and if this is all the responses i'll get then i'll ask a mod to close this thread
i thought i'd get a good conversation at least, but i was wrong

Religion is not meant to make sense, that's why it's religion. Science and religion never mix, need faith for religion.
I believe everyone accepts everyone's religion, unless they believe that all life must be sacrificed to the elephant goddess or something.

IMO religion is only as ridiculous as the extremists that claim to be of that religion.
Just my random thought. A lot can be learned about the world from religion that science will probly never be able to solve. Mostly about certain things that happen that can't be explained.

It is very difficult to think of any organised human activity that could not be corrupted…The lesson is that anti-religious corruptions and religious corruptions are both possible. There is no magic system or belief, not even belief in liberal democracy, which can be guaranteed to prevent it.

To illustrate this let me use the outdated cliché of “religions are the cause war and conflict” and show how war and conflict are not unique to religions. In the relatively short history of secularism the following massacres have committed in the name of non-religious ideologies such a communism, nationalism and social-Darwinism:

• 70,000,000 under chairman Mao
• 20,000,000 under Stalin
• 2,000,000 no longer exist because of Pol Pot
• 700,000 innocent Iraqi’s in the current occupation
• 500,000 Iraqi children in the 10 year sanctions

So it can be clearly seen above that war and conflict are not religious monopolies, rather they are human phenomena and not unique to religion.

more people have died in the twentieth century’s secular wars than in the preceding fifty centuries of fighting combined…. No religious war in history, not all the religious wars of history added together, did as much damage as this century’s wars of nationalism and ideology.
