I checked the rules and FAQ, but didn't find anything regarding it. So...

Is there any rule for the amount of posts one can quote in a single post? If not, what do you staff members think about it?
I have seen one of the users literally quoting 11 previous posts in a single half-liner post. Such posts clog the thread with a giant semi-spammy wall of unnecessary multi-quotes that could have been easily avoided, which can be annoying sometimes.

So, I think implementing a limit will help keeping things a bit more tidy and organized.

I don't understand this, you mean if someone wants to answer multipe questions of people he can't? I find it rather lenient to quote multiple people instead of quoting, answering or replying to multiple people one at a time which is mutli posting and creating more mess. Also, post count abuse is imminent that way, lulz.

So they should limit how many people a person can quote in a single Post? I mean truthfully. That same person can just make 2 posts responding to 7 people each. Still a wall of text. Or should they limit how many times a person can quote in a thread? But then a person may not be able to respond to all the people they need to?

That might cause Multi-posting. The Quote option exists to prevent that.

If a person have to quote 11 previous posts in a row to say the same thing to all of them, then why bother even quoting? One can simply drop a reply, without so many quotes. That many quotes only makes the post look super bulky. I mean... 11 quotes? Come on.

What if he doesn't have to say the same thing to all of them? If you're the Orginal poster and asked a question Quoting multiple People (no matter the amount) IMO I think it's far better then haranguing over the quotes separately one by one which is more insipid. But I digress. As for your case, I'll concede, I think it's better if you leave a single reply if you're going to answer them all the same way, I do confess, how do the mods solve that? It's not even a rule, and doesn't even exist, besides, it'll be weird if you're gonna have to get your post removed and infracted over quoting 11 people.

This is a forum, there won't be a limit to how many quotes a person can have in a post. The quote function is there so that members can reply to several points/variant posts in a single post so there isn't a need for multi-posting.

Are you serious? So when someone wants to address multiple people, he or she has to quote a limited amount, wait for another post so they won't multipost and break the rules, and then quote a limited amount again and could have to do that several more times, hindering their fun, conversation, and/or question answering/asking ability?.. Great idea...

That seems ridiculous.

Multi posting is bannable.

Because they want to.

Sorry, but I really don't understand why you have problems with people quoting many posts. You can quote 10 people and still have a shorter post than someone who quoted no one, so in fact you don't like long posts as they would clog up a thread just as much as people who multi-quote a lot. The multi-quote button exists for the sake of making things more organized. I once banned a person who refused to use the multi-quote button and quoted over 20 posts in individual posts all the time. Now that is annoying and clogs up threads.
